In my campaign, we use 10 alignments -- the 9 from previous editions plus unaligned. We also use some different power sources beyond the ones presented in the Player's Handbook. Please take a look at this and tell me your thoughts. Particularly I am interested in if you can think of a better plane to replace any of these, given its position and relationships with other planes. I spent like a great deal of time putting this together so any feedback is welcome. If you can think of more creative names for some of these planes, let me know. The planes imply the existence of new power sources which I shall slowly introduce to our game. |

I've drawn this out and the transcendental planes make a lot more sense in this model, and it eliminates a bit of complexity that probably serves no purpose. |

I understand why they moved away from systems like this -- turning off young players who can't concentrate on anything complicated, not super practical, etc. -- but it influences how I use power sources, and the big reason behind it is that it can serve as the basis for a puzzle or two that my players will have to solve. |
