| #1merrithMay 11, 2009 15:08:54 | Couple of lore bits I had questions about if anyone had read or heard any updates on them post-Spellplague Any info on current status and whereabouts of Elaith Craulnober and/or his daughter, the Craulnober moonblade, and the last Moonflower heir? Mentions of Lamruil's realm of Auseriel and what prophecy Araevin Teshurr apparently divined? How Laeral died and the fate of the other twin who did not assume the mantle of Blackstaff? |

Mentions of Lamruil's realm of Auseriel and what prophecy Araevin Teshurr apparently divined? -Auseriel was destroyed in 1,373 DR, as per AGHotR. As far as we know, the pieces were not picked up, and the entire settlement was forgotten about. With the Tree of Souls being planted in Myth Drannor, the entire point of Auseriel went out the window, anyway. How Laeral died and the fate of the other twin who did not assume the mantle of Blackstaff? -Unknown. |

| #4lord_karsusMay 12, 2009 12:17:28 | -AGHotR, page 159: Blah, blah, blah "...and depart in search of the missing Princess Maura, set on the trail by the mysterious prophecy revealed by Araevin's magic." -Personally speaking, I don't think that's a very good phrase to use, and it might be better saying something along the lines of "...and depart in search of the missing Princess Maura, set on the trail by the mysterious answer revealed by Araevin's divination magic." |
| #5rinonalyrna_fathomlinMay 12, 2009 12:19:39 | I agree, "prophecy" isn't the best word to use. I didn't think Araevin was an oracle of any sort. |
| #6drizztsmanchildMay 12, 2009 15:00:55 | IDK, from the way it reads it sounds like Araevin used his/her magic and maybe broke a magical seal/spell/etc.. that was gaurding a prophecy pertaining to the princess or whatever the prophecy pertains to. |
| #7merrithMay 15, 2009 19:19:32 | Now I mainly just read the novels and enjoy the lore, but it didn't sound like the best phrasing to me either. He did use a sort of dream/seer spell often enough in the "Last Mythal" trilogy when looking for clues as to where he was supposed to proceed next. I'm sure they were taking into account his new status as a virtual High Magic circle of one as well. Perhaps they had some vague tie in planned with the last Moonflower heir storyline arc in EC's book that got canceled. I guess not everything could get as grand a finish as Khelben received. Then again the character most of us accepted as his successor just kind of got the axe with a few lines of lore here or there, and 5 or 6 other people got to hold the title of Blackstaff in the century after his death...so I guess it all evened out. |
