very well done, it would be perfect if you chaange the pose.

if i were you i'd look at surfers skateboarders, comicbooks and especially anime for a more dynamic pose to show off the best features of your work.

many people can throw out compliments of which in this case you deserve :D

still i thought i might throww in my two cents.

-Well, to continue on the critique line of thought, as opposed to the compliments (which you do deserve): The perspective of the hand crossbow looks...off. Unless, you have the crossbow itself vertical, instead of horizontal?

-Never mind, I just read your other thread.

I love it! Very nicely done. I like how the green glow (of the mold or fungi?) lightly illuminates your drow.

The hand crossbow seems a little out of place though... maybe just the color? A little too bright? If it was darker, like a rich dark purple, with some runes on it like your blade, that would fancy it up and you'd have the whole piece come together. Just some thoughts, though... I love it.

Ravenhamr,
cheers!
hm, I like that pose as it's subtle stealth, the head especially is perfect for my tastes....waiting listening as the victim closes... ;)
oh be my guest! constructive criticism is great but I don't always agree with it :p

Lord Karsus,
aye, the bow's in line witht he stock instead of at right angles like normal ;)

Therise
udner lighting with green is a classic technique to give a sinister appearance to a character in the movies/theatre ;)

ah but the bow gives contrast to the otherwise dark scene...well, for my tastes
thanks!

And my overactive imagination kicks in immediately, placing my players' drow PCs somewhere nearby, off on yet another "little task" for Gromph, unaware that the archmage's rivals have sent a professional in to disrupt their assignment. These tunnels are safe. Tabak has patrolled them for months now, and sentries are posted at various places who know better than to mess with anyone on a mission from Gromph. Calm, casual, and making the one mistake of not paying strict attention to their surroundings (after all, it's a safe corridor, right?), Alak alone barely hears the initial twang of the string and the bolt is incoming before Bormuk finishes his sentence...

Excellent picture!

Ravenharm,

Thank you!

I use Vue7 Infinite to build the scenes and render.
Poser 6 for the character/clothes then import finished guy into Vue and build scene around him.
I build the weapons with Rhino 4.
Photoshop CS4 for minor tweaks on the render.

cheers!

Bit of a side point, but it's funny, some folk give constructive critizism (which is cool!), but don't get the fact that it's all VERY subjective, so while some wanted a darker version, others like the warmer version, hehe!! ;)

Deathspdiers are aweosme ships!
my fave though is the Man-o-War, it's just beautiful!
I'll need to do more Spelljammer stuff...I was making a Neogi...

I think Silverblade was born under the zodiac sign of "Awesomeus Maximus"! Loved the darker picture!
