NE
Communication is empathy.
Can see 120ft darkvision
Cha. and Wis. are 16, int. 10,
Ego: going off of fareunian handbook over artimes I'd say 28, but that wouldnt make that much sense for its power.

Greater Powers:
At will: Ash Wall: 5ft tall by 5ft wide by 1ft thick of floating thick ash. Grants wielder up to full concealment. However opponents can gain concealment as well but not from the wielder of the sword who can see through the ash wall.

At will: Darklight: Makes user invisible to those who are using darkvision to see wielder.

Festering wounds: Any enemy struck by the blade must make a fortitude DC 25 or contract Deathsong. Incubation 1 day minus a d8 to str, dex, and con every day until the disease is cured. BVD pg30

If the wielder fails a will test against the blades ego then suffers from Melting fury, minus a d4 to str., dex., and con., every round until the wielder can make an will save vs. its ego to let go of the sword.

Gauntlet of Energy absorbtion: Can absorb magical or psionic energy at a max rate of 30 pts of damage worth a round anything else thats left the user can then make the appropriate save vs. the remainding damage.
Also enables the the user to wield the blade w/o having to make ego tests.

RUBY POMMEL DAGGER
+4 Vampiric dagger
As +4 dagger with the additional affects:

1 day Any creature (excluding constructs) struck with the dagger must make a fortitude save (DC 17) Or lose an additional 2d4 hit points, which are Immediately added to the
Wielders hit point total, Any Hit points above the wielders normal hit point
Total are considered “Temporary Hit points” All effects of this weapon on the wielder
Disappear after 1 hour.

I did some looking around on Entreri's stats a couple months back. The last official update to Entreri was in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book. That is the first stat block you have above. Entreri has since picked up a Half-Shade template, this has reversed his middle age statistic penalties. I did look for a half-shade template but was unsuccessful. This template has also given his skin a grayish hue. The effects were briefly mentioned in Road of the Patriarch I believe. Entreri also has probably gained several levels as well.

He also has picked up a figurine of wonderous power which turns into a Nightmare horse. I cant remember for sure if he still has a magical flute, I'm almost positive he gave it back to Jarlaxle. He may have obtained other items.

Charons Claw and the Dagger are both probably more powerful than the stats would indicate. They are both more than likely epic level weapons. Charons Claw may be of Netherese make. There is no official "Vampiric" weapon property i can think of atm.

Its hard to translate a character from a novel into actual game stats. I personally found the game stats rather disappointing.

his dagger was statted up in an article some time last year.

I bet though Charon's claw is likely going to be destroyed in the next drizzt book

======spoilers follow=========

Artemis isn't packing nearly any of his old school heat.  Alegni, the tiefling from Netheril now has Charon's claw which is definitely Netherese and tortures Artemis.

The dagger is in the hands of a pirate in Luskan...I expect that in the next novel, Artemis will be re-aquiring that little piece of hardware since Artemis is rolling with Drizzt at the moment, and Drizzt knows where the dagger is.

IIRC, he still has the nightmare horse.

I was thinking the Dagger would have some artifact like requirements and would have powers similar to Nightbringer and I am almost certain Charon's Claw holds a terrible devil/demon beastly soul within.  The dagger should have something like the powerrs listed below.

Power (Healing)  Encounter (No Action)

Devourer of Souls. When you reduce a foe to 0 or fewer hit points with Nightbringer, you regain one healing surge.

Power (Necrotic)  Daily (Minor Action)

Feast of Life. Spend a healing surge. The next time you hit a foe with Nightbringer, you gain extra necrotic damage to your damage roll equal to half your surge value.

Power (Necrotic)  Daily (Minor Action)

Feed the Blade. Target; Creature Pierced with 10 or fewer hit points are reduced to 0 hit points.

But let us remember it would have once been thought of as a Vampiric weapon, though the 3 Edition  FRCG said it was a +4 Defending Dagger.  It is an Artifact for sure.  Only Salvatore could make the final call.
