He's written a couple of books...Contributed to a couple of sourcebooks...Published a new campaign setting... -The 3e format was not very...conducive for things like Aurora's Catalogue, I don't think.

#9 Belorin Jun 17, 2008 11:29:29	I know it was converted to 3e by Chronos Deathtrigger as I have the PDF, I also own 2 physical copies of the original, one is dogeared and stained from being used so much by the players, the other I use only. I hope that even if Aurora didn't survive the transition, that her excellent establishment does. Bel

#14 markustay63 Jun 17, 2008 13:38:12	I believe there is a reference to Aurora starting her business in the GHotR, but I could be mistaken - I am not at home, nor would I wish to go through it looking for a single entry. Perhaps if Brian J. comes along he can confirm or deny my suspicians. I had developed a plotline IMG involving the growing rivalry beteen the Thayan Enclaves and Aurora's outlets (think K-Mart vs Walmart, only with assasins and magic), with a lot of sabotage (looking like accidents) on the part of the Thayans.

Ed is a freelancer--he has no control over the design direction of the setting. If WotC asked him (or someone else) to write up a 3E Aurora's Catalog, one would have been written. They never did, so it's possible WotC simply didn't WANT an Aurora's Catalog. Whether one will show up in the future is anyone's guess.

Well, he's not a WotC employee per se--he gets contracted to write what WotC wants him to write (and gets paid for it). Ed created the Realms and later sold it to TSR; while he does influence it's direction (the people at WotC obviously respect him), he can't control it. Just elaborating a bit.
