The sword can be wielded effectively with one hand but could you use two hands? I am thinking of the wing sword to be more like the wakizashi with capabilities of slashing and piercing damage. The orient warriors used fluid circular motions very different than the baseball swing of other swords. The overhead slash would probably be the most deadly and should not interfer with the wings. Your thoughts? |

The spell makes the wings edges as sharp as a blade. What the wing armor along with the sharpwing spell would do is allow an wing attack and hand attack with a weapon . This is a good ideal and since the Avariel use glass steal the wing armor would be made of glass steal. |

If the wing armor had sharpwings spell cast on it and could be used x number of times per day that would help. Another spell that canbe added to the wing Armor is Aerial Alacrity races of the wild page 174, the spell would add fly speed incress by 30 feet per round and improves flying by 1 category and you gain an +1 to dodge bonus. Now with the two spells added to the wing armor an Avariel could fly and fight even better. How about wing armor made for the Avariels with sharpwings and Aerial Alacrity spells on the armor to add to the lists of elven magical items? |

I have read the Dragon Magazine #233 article, Complete book of Elves, Elves of Evermeet, and Races of Faerun but none that I have found actually show a picture of the sword or mention if it is a one or two-handed sword. |
