Dec 12, 2009 21:00:59 I'm looking for some ideas as to how some might theorize this and run it from both a character and DM perspective. Just looking for some ideas if anyone would like to contribute.

Dec 13, 2009 2:20:51 Well you got Avenger and you got Hoar, what more do you need? I really think they do go good together. I remember when i first saw the Avenger, my first impression was this would be great for a worshipper of Hoar. Unfortunatly they havnt really done much with Hoar, he really needs some Domains and some Channel Divinity powers.

Dec 17, 2009 12:05:19 I just happen to know an Avenger of Hoar! What specifically do you want advice on? The class really compliments Hoar rather well, they seem made for each other. When I first read up on the Avenger, that was my first thought, as well, that this has follower of Hoar written all over it.

Dec 17, 2009 16:20:33 I'm in total agrreance as far as impressions upon first seeing the Avenger. I guess what I'm most looking for is peoples perspectives on playing one, RP ideas, and just overall random thoughts. Hoar has always been one of my most favorite of the deities in the Realms and I'm somewhat disappointed over the gloss-over he got in the campaign guide (I'm over it). Just fishing for ideas and thoughts.

Dec 17, 2009 21:52:42 I am really liking you Cal! I don't think Hoar gets enough love around here. As far as roleplaying ideas, I sort of play my character as evil, not evil evil, but the sort of evil where you believe that you are actually good. Maybe evil is too strong a word, but he does enjoy killing, and won't think twice about it. It's what he lives for, to find some one he feels is deserving of death, and grant it to them, slowly and as painfully as possible, also the punishment should fit the crime. Eye for an eye is definitely his credo. I guess I sort of play him as an evil paladin. Hope that helps some.
