I havent read any FR books since the sellswords and before that i really hadent read any in several years.
But after having to stay 3 hrs from my apt for weeks at a time just to have a job ive been picking up a few and i must say theyre all **** so far!
in the last 2 months or so I ve read the Unclean/Undead/Unholy trilogy and i devoured it. good writing I enjoyed the bad guys as much as the good guys and really it was so well written that It didnt seem to even let its good/bad guys (other than a few) switch roles a few times.
Also i really Liked the character Malark I tend to like "bad" guys but not just for the sake of their villainy, just seems like alot of guys get to really like the villians they create sometime more so than their heroes.and good guys always do the same thing, the right thing, bad/Ce guys might have different motivations I liked that in the Cale trilogy the "bad guy wasent just about "I want powers cuz im bad" and Byers even got me to think a bard was really cool, didnt see that one coming...
The next two trilogies I read were the Everis cale/Twilight war trilogy.
Wow Great Freaking job Mr. Kemp!
I actually didnt know that the twilight wars was about same guys as the other so i had to finish the last Mythal trilogy(not bad but...meh.) real fast so i could get to More Everis Riven and Mags(Jak was cool to but i guess that at least on some lvl i too suffer from overhalfling syndrome)
But for real man great read I flew through all of em.

ops! my comment turned into a review
anyway please keep making books like these, a bit darker, a bit dirtier more gritty. Some not so good guys , and just real badass bad guys.
I loved that Riven and the cute little halfling character both end up at the *****house. I mean cale didnt go but he was tore up about some chick, cool.
Il meet you halfway.
The girl in twilight was who was wasted all the time, it was a great tool to show how far she was slipping into insanity and how the minddust helped along the way.

well thanks for reading and once again
Mr. Kemp, Mr Byers well done guys.

Alot of the New Novels are pretty good. I quit reading them for the Lore now. I read them for a good story. Check out Blades of the Moonsea. Good story.

-It's a trilogy. Only the first two have been released thus far, Swordmage and Corsair.

Corsair IMHO is Richard Bakers best novel to date.

Eh. That one seemed to go a bit over the top for me. Didn't hate it, but certainly wasn't a huge fan.

I have to agree with the OP. The latest batch of authors are top-notch. Paul Kemp, Rich Baker, James P Davis, Erik Scott da Bie (sp?)... they're all good authors, not just FR writers.
