Pretty bad ass class if you ask me. The Martial Controller.

Jul 16, 2011 6:38:34 I definitly agree, though judging from the Char_Op group, some people would be led to believe otherwise. I think the class features are really interesting as it practically gets Intelligent Blademaster feat in the form of a feature and all the At-Wills can target any creature within Range 10 when you successfully attack an enemy with an MBA. Add in that it has a better AC than some Defenders (Tempest style for one) and that it can use Ranged and Area attacks without provoking Opportuinity Attacks and it's very versatile.

I think the only downside is the lack of Daily powers (understandably so) which is where most of the ire is directed at on the Char_Ops boards. That and the fact that it's abilities can't be cherry-picked nor can the Bladesinger be readily abused by other classes powers such as the Warlord's Commander's Strike power. It's a very elegantly designed class.

Martial? It's arcane, surely. The Martial Controller is the Hunter Ranger.

Actually looks like a pretty interesting class. I'm not the best controller, but it can get into melee and do a fair bit of damage there at the same time as throwing control effects around. I think it looks as if it would be interesting to play. 'Course, till we've seen the rest of the class it's hard to be sure about it.

Jul 24, 2011 3:56:05 I am happy to finally see the Bladesinger. And it promise to be a controversed Class, much like when it appeared originally in AD&D 2nd Edition Complete Book of Elves. A Elven Fighter/Mage Kit able to cast Spells with one hand and use Bladesong !

Happy to see it back and can't wait to play one on the VT.
