Can Nentir Vale fit in anywhere with Forgotten Realms?

Jan 08, 2012 21:42:54 I'm sure this discussion came up in the past. I was wondering if it fit in well anywhere in particular and if there were any maps that have been created.

I've seen lots of speculation at the outset of 4th Edition that the Nentir Vale was in the Realms, but that was before people realized what the Points of Light setting was.

I have not seem anything in terms of people making their own conversion to the Realms.

Were I you, I would place the Nentir Vale in and around the Dalelands, where there are lots of forests, rivers and some mountains.

This is where MarkusTay63 placed Fallcrest in Faerun. IIRC Rich said that would be a great place to use some of the Vale's locations.

I was gonna use Fallcrest in Daggerdale. Both a cities/towns that are built on or by a waterfall. Just build around it.

Jan 09, 2012 5:54:37 I placed it in the Gray Vale. Seemed fitting for the first adventures from Scales of War. Now I needed a desert, so I set it on an earthmote flying above the Earth. Was also a nice sidekick adventure for my players figuring out how to get on that earthmote..

Nice idea here if worse came to worse.
Dalelands makes some sense also.

Feb 05, 2012 15:53:51 I'm planning placing Nentir Vale to the east of the Faerun. Like east of the Hordelands.
Or placing Nerath and surroundings as a new continent.

But I also like The Dark Angel's Nentir Vale location.
