Hello Everyone,

I'm curious what those of you who are participating in this forum think of the description for it?

The Forgotten Realms have many unique races, classes, spells, and powers, all of which have been integrated and implemented in the setting. Discuss these mechanical aspects of Dungeons & Dragons here, with other fans of Ed Greenwood's panoramic campaign setting.

Forgotten Realms Adventures?

A forum dedicated to the inner workings of the Forgotten Realms, and the best way to run adventures and characters, for DMs and Players alike.

It seems that this forum is just as concerned with Fluff as the other one, but that one is more canon-based, and this one is more about just having fun in the Realms (which of course leads to a slightly unbalanced number of 3e players staying there, and 4e players migrating here, but that can't be helped).

If you want the description to be more DM-oriented, I don't think anything major has to be done. Add something like "Come here for DM-ing tips on setting up a campaign as well as running one." *shrug*

At the minimum I think something like what you (Rinon) suggest should be done.

At the maximum, something like:

The Forgotten Realms are full of endless adventure building possibilities and options for creating unique characters that reflect the depth of flavor and mechanics that make up the setting. Discuss the variety of ways you can make Realms-themed characters with other players and talk with Forgotten Realms Dungeon Masters about how to build Realms-themed adventures that combine your imagination and creativity with the best of what the setting has to offer.
