At any rate, it was mentioned briefly in Power of Faerun, so it shouldn't be that unfamiliar. As to the 'cute' comment over its name, its not giving me a whole lot of confidence in him or the cartographer...

Iriaebor is east of Berdusk, in the Western Heartlands. West of Cormyr. City of a Thousand Spires.

It's mentioned in Volo's Guide to the Sword Coast, which I think is still a free download from WotC.

We knew there was a map already. Brian R. James settled that question with the thread related to that issue.

Surprised you hadn't read it, X. You slackin'?

As for Iriaebor, thanks for the tid-bits. You have to remember that I've been out of gaming for a while and generally only keep up on the novels these days.

-Crypt of the Shadowking and Return of the Shadowking (I think that was the title, though it might be something similar), two related novels in the Harpers series, take place in and around the city as well.

That thing looks like a county surveyor's map, and is just as inspiring.

Not belittling the artist here - I'm a big fan of his. The thing was intentionally supposed to look that way.

I just find it really sad that Chris Perkins has obviously gone blind... such a nice fellow, too.
