May 26, 2009 23:23:46 Hello, I intend to run a campaign that heavily involves the realms of Chult. I own Serpent Kingdoms and the FR Campaign setting but I was wondering if there are other resources out there that could assist me in getting to know what to expect from that area. I intend to hinge heavily on the Cults of Tiamat present in the area as well as the yuan-ti aspects. The party will eventually move east of Chult through one or two of the neighboring lands. They're beginning in Amn but launching from Velen into the Nelanther Isles before heading southward to Chult. I have most of the campaign mapped up to the actual arrival in the jungle lands.

Any information on what I could involve or cool ideas from people who have run encounters, dungeons, etc in Chult are welcome.

As an additional aside, are there any good resources for rapidly generating shops, npcs, and general city-type npcs and locales?

May 27, 2009 9:40:46 -The best source on Chult would be the aptly named The Jungles of Chult sourcebook. It's kind of short (63 pages), but it has a bunch of maps, and information about Mezro, and the people living in the city, and the surrounding jungle, the kinds of monsters living in the jungle, and so on. About Tiamat's faith, Dragons of Faerûn is the best place to find information about all of that, if you have it.

May 29, 2009 12:28:42 The Savage Tide adventure-path from Paizo has a great FR conversion for it, and it starts in Chult. If thats no longer available (the conversion, that is) I have it if you need it.

I placed the locale from the module (Kuluth-Mar) on my Chult Map, according to the official conversion for it.

Thats the 'disconnected' 4e version of Chult, BTW. Otherwise, everything on it is 3e and earlier.

Jun 06, 2009 10:04:29 See the Jungles of Chult adventure module. And some tidbits in Serpent Kingdoms. As well as Lost Empires of Faerûn, Dragons of Faerûn, and Grand History of the Realms. The Vanity's Brood novel, and Jess Lebow's Master of Chains novel also contains a few bits about Chultan society. As does the Ring of Winter "Harpers" series novel.
