The Claws are made of dragon hide and each finger is the color of a chromatic dragon, with dragon teeth extending from the tips. ------------------------------------------------------------- Goals of the Claws <> To defeat good dragons and bring down Bahamut <> To ensure Draconic Superiority of Faerun <> To Bring all Dragon-Kin under Tiamat's control. -------------------------------------------------------------- Roleplaying the Claws The Claws have the common personality traits of Evil Dragons; Selfish, Greedy and Vain. They urge the Wearer to find and dominate Dragon-kin, and to slay all servants of Bahamut, and defile his temples. -------------------------------------------------------------- The claws act as a pair of +4 daggers with the following enhancements and abilities. Enhancement: Attack rolls and Damage rolls Critical: +4d6 damage or +4d10 damage against creatures larger than Large size. Property: For every attack you make, choose one of the following damage types: Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning or Poison. All damage from the attack is of this type. Property: A priest of Tiamat may use the Claws as a holy symbol. Property: The wearer can speak Draconic Rolepalying the Claws of Tiamat. The Claws of Tiamat seek to destroy Good dragons and servants of Bahamut. It is a malevolent weapon, but often seems to be indescisive as the seperate wills of the dragons bound into it, five in all, compete for dominance. The wearer hears the arguments as faint whispers and commands as direct whispers in her ears. -------------------------------------------------------------- Concordance: Starting Score: 5 Owner gains a level: +1d10 Owner has a dragon bloodline or is dragonborn: +2 Owner completes a quest on behalf of Tiamat's church or an evil dragon: +1 Owner slays a good dragon of Adult or older: +2 Owner slays a dragon younger than Adult age: +1 Owner disobeys a command from an evil dragon: -1 Pleased (16-20) "I am watched over by the five heads of Tiamat" Property: The wearers resistances increase to 10 Property: The Claws bonus to Diplomacy, Insight and Intimidate +4 Satisfied (12-15) "Tiamat has blessed me with her power" Property: The wearer gains resistance to Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning and Poison 5 Property: you gain a +2 item bonus to Diplomacy checks and Insight checks against Evil dragons, and a +2 item bonus to Intimidate checks vs. Good Dragons and Dragon-kin. Angered (0 or lower) "I am so screwed" Special: Every round you take 4 points of each type of damage (Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning and Poison) until you are dead or remove the Claws. -------------------------------------------------------------- Moving On "I go to serve the queen" The gloves turn the wearer into a young dragon of a type chosen by the wearer, if the current concordance is pleased or better, otherwise the wearer's eyes become chromatic, shifting between White, Red, Black, Green and Blue. | #4lord_karsusSep 02, 2008 0:15:45 | -Ah, I see. -I'd like to see more about the personality of the item, and how it influences/controls the user. |
| #5naexSep 02, 2008 0:32:40 | -Ah, I see. Done a little, but mostly artifacts use the Honey and the stick to motivate the user, thus the need for concordance. If you do as it likes you get more power, **** it off and you lose power or get punished. |
