Hey Good Fellows, I have finished the LP series, and I'm wondering what the gaming stats would be for the clip Q'arlynd uses in the book to... Never mind. I'm to lazy to put a spoiler.

What I've gathered from the book is it can only hold a low level spell or so, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't use a body slot. If any one can point me in the direction of it's wright up or give me there own home brew I'd be much obliged.

ps. I'm sorry to bring it here, I know not alot of people on these specific boards care much for the mixxing of fine novels and tedious gaming, but I'm sure there are a few out there like me. THanks.

-In the book, what did he say it had? Blink and Dimension Door?

And an illusion of some sort.

-I could have sworn he only mentioned two spells. Maybe Blink, and something else (the illusion), and no Dimension Door.

-One effect was to make the attacker think he/she hit the target, and the second was to make the attacker's attack come back at him/her.

I thought the first effect was just an illusion so the a certain knife didn't get burried in his neck. That would be a pretty low level spell, and making it look as if there was an actual hit could be explained by a low level illusion such as Silent Image.

That would be a level 1 spell, and a level 3 spell. Holding a total of 4 levels would have to make the creater's caster level at the very least 12. With the contengincy spells costly material component it might be come pretty pricey itself.

Right now I'm just trying to save myself the trouble of making it myself. Just seeing if it is already in book somewhere or some one else has a homebrew item like it.

-It's not an item I've ever seen stats for, I'll say that much. If you want to go the simple route, you can just make it an item that reflects any 1 attack back to the attacker, be it a physical item, a punch, magic, whatever. Simple, clean, easy...:P

-Yeah...Welcome to the world of novels, where poetic license and plot armor reigns supreme.
