Convert Chaos Scar mod to Forgotten Realms

Oct 06, 2010 0:27:06 I'm planning on running the Chaos Scar mod Dead by Dawn pretty soon but I'm planning on setting it in the Forgotten Realms. The main problem with that is I'm pretty new to FR and know practically none of the lore. So I was curious if anyone had some suggestions on who would be good FR stand-ins for Erathis and Orcus?

ORcus can and will be insulted if you get any other than Orcus to stand in for himself.

now let me refresh my memory for Erathis yes, the unalighned goddess of civiliazation.

I'd say either Chauntea ,Torm or Amuanator would be your best bet for the stand in.

past them, Siamorphe might do as well.

Oct 06, 2010 0:38:22 Well, Orcus could still be Orcus. He exists in the Realms. As for Erathis... at least in the LFR campaign we use Gond as the equivalent deity. Although her portfolio is invention, laws, and civilization, so Torm could be a good fit as well.

I would also suggest Amaunator as a substitute for Erathis largely because the introduction mentions that Erathis doesn't suffer fools lightly... and I think that would also very accurately describe Amaunator.

Oct 16, 2010 1:29:40 Wasn't Orcus killed in the Realms? I mean I know he came back, but I thought that just applied to Greyhawk Orcus, so FR Orcus is back to life too? When did that happen? And how did that happen? Or is there just one Orcus for all the worlds, unlike the gods who have multiple aspects for different worlds? e.g. Greyhawk Corellon is not the same as FR Corellon.

Nov 17, 2010 10:36:25 Orcus was killed by Gareth Dragonsbane and friends over 100 years ago. 100 years is the usual time of banishment from the prime once a demon is killed.

I don't recal reading any lore however.
