| #1krownhunter07Apr 21, 2009 16:24:21 | Title says it all. I'm wondering what Corellon was up to during the ToT. Was he cast down to Toril like the others? If so, where what and all that jazz. Thank you for you time. |
| #2StiggerApr 21, 2009 17:21:16 | Presumably he'd have been in either Evermeet or Evereska, I'd guess Evermeet myself, but I don't recall it being stated one way or another anywhere. The only member of the Seldarine I can recall being specifically mentioned location-wise was Labelas, fighting Clangeddin I think it was, on some island on the Sea of Swords, that struck me as an extremely bizarre and inexplicable twist that served little to no purpose that I could fathom. |
| #3zananApr 21, 2009 18:01:59 | If nothing is mentioned in TGHoF, then there is no info about him within Realmspace at the time. |
| #4faraerApr 21, 2009 18:31:53 | He was cast down, but we don't know where. Here's the link to Tom Costa's summary. |
| #5krownhunter07Apr 21, 2009 21:03:41 | Yeah... that link didn't have anything on Corellon... I suppose I could ask Rich or someone. |
| #6rabiesbunnyApr 22, 2009 9:47:33 | That raises a curious question. It is implied Corellon, along with all the other elven deities, is cast down. Wild magic was rampant during this time period due to Mystra's death. This has made me wonder: was the magical shield around Evermeet down during this time? Was it besieged by any of the Scrags, Sahuagin, yaddayaddayadda that have attacked it in the past with the magical barrier up? I don't believe there is any evidence of this, but it is a point of curiousity. it almost makes me wonder if none of the other deities from the other pantheons were cast down. From what we know, it was Ao's crew. Is there even evidence abount the Mulhorandi deities that any of them (save for Sharess) got thrown to avatar form? |
| #7krownhunter07Apr 22, 2009 10:56:54 | No clue... but I've always thought (personally) that Corellon was the most powerful Deity after Ao. DR 19 always seemed a cop-out to the facts, but that is neither here nor there. Regardless, I suppose it could be possible that Corellon never went to Toril. Or maybe he did and kept Elven magic working normally? |
| #8StiggerApr 22, 2009 13:36:11 | Well, if Clangeddin was hanging out on islands on the Sea of Swords, I'd say it was a good bet the rest of the various racial/regional pantheons were out there somewhere. Personally, I'm more curious as to where the Garl and his buddies were hanging their hats during that time period... and what they were up to, given their penchant for jokes and pranks. |
| #9lord_karsusMay 07, 2009 20:35:52 | If nothing is mentioned in TGHoF, then there is no info about him within Realmspace at the time. -There is a lot of information out there, that isn't in either AGHotR (online) or TGHotR. -On Corellon Larethian, though, no, no mentions of him are made. Presumably, he appears on Evermeet, in Corellon's Grove. |
| #10sfdragonMay 08, 2009 4:27:22 | the wards of evermeet, like the Mythals, I thought came from arvandor, not the the seldarine...... or is my mythal fu not on par |
| #11nightseerMay 08, 2009 21:59:45 | Nope you guys got it all wrong. He was travelling the Realms looking at his future Conquests. The Elves started with Myth Drannor. Ever wonder why Evereska was attacked...a pretense to get the Elves ready for war and to weaken future enemies. It is a good thing that Lady Shar and the goof-off Cryic killed Mystra when they did. What Lady Shar does to protect the Realms from those destructive Elves. ![]() :P |
| #12Nai_CalusMay 10, 2009 5:17:27 | No, no, no. He wasn't looking for future military conquests. He was wandering looking for *current*, romantic conquests. That's why we haven't heard anything about him during the ToT. Labelas was off going crazy, but Corellon was too busy getting it on with a near-endless stream of perfectly willing hot elf babes and hot elf dudes, and even a few non-elves for variety. :P (Which bears the amusing-to-ponder question of, if Corellon had a kid with a human, what the elves would think, and how many sun elves would explode in a fit of nerdrage.) |
| #13StiggerMay 10, 2009 5:37:22 | I'm guessing most of the EV would explode at the idea of him even getting into a position to have a child with a non-elf, much less actually spawning something and polluting the purest of the pure elveness... But if you really want to see elvesuses explode, try out the idea of him getting knocked up by a non-elf and see how they react... wouldn't be a gold elf left intact on all of Faerun... except maybe Elaith, he's probably worthy of survival. |
| #14nightseerMay 10, 2009 8:20:04 | Epileptic puppies having seziures? :embarrass ![]() |
| #15redglacierMay 12, 2009 23:44:39 | Ah, the Gold Elf race. FR's very own Straight Man, with the added bonus of each and every one of them having a fully grown redwood tree jammed up their *** at birth.:D Whenever one of them brags about the supposed Sun elven "superiority", Corellon goes ... |
| #16glitterMay 13, 2009 6:45:23 | Is there even evidence abount the Mulhorandi deities that any of them (save for Sharess) got thrown to avatar form? From what I understood, they were already in an "avatar" form. |
| #17suin_bahhar_02May 13, 2009 7:12:45 | The Seldarine has accepted Mielikki as a half-elven member named Khalreshaar. So some elves and probably Corellon himself aswell totally respect the elven fertility and ability to mingle with humans. I see the Seldarine as a particularly horny bunch. :D My guess the Seldarine were largely concerned with getting back to Arvandor. If that would have failed they would reside in areas resembling it, so Evermeet would be the best place to frolick around eachother. Corellons grove must have been a busy place for Corellon and Hanali. The forests on Evermeet could have kept Solonor and Fenmarel busy. I'd expect Erevan to play pranks in Leathilspur and Waterdeep. Sehanine would likely be stargazing in the Towers of the Sun and Moon. Shevarash would have made his time on the prime material be counted by the number of drow scalps he could collect in the underdark... What about the anti-seldarine? Did Vhearun and Eilistraee go prowling eachother in Dambrath? Did Lolth walk the streets of Menzoberranzan demanding elven baby sacrifices? |
| #18lord_karsusMay 13, 2009 10:45:24 | What about the anti-seldarine? Did Vhearun and Eilistraee go prowling eachother in Dambrath? Did Lolth walk the streets of Menzoberranzan demanding elven baby sacrifices? -Lolth, she appeared in Menzobarranzan, and Selvetarm ran amok in Eryndlyn. That's all we know; Eilistraee, Ghaunadaur, Kiaransalee, abd Vhaeraun's locations and doings are unknown to us. |
| #19elvenavengerMay 15, 2009 2:03:25 | Well there is one important fact everyone has forgotten. The gods didnt have to stay in Toril they just couldnt go back to their divine realms. Hanali was in Evereska as it says in return of the Archwizards about her visiting her statue. As you know Loth was in the Abyss many times talking to Ettru while ToT was going on. Corellon I belive was mentioned to have gone to the Elven Court. |
| #20krownhunter07May 15, 2009 8:58:09 | Corellon I belive was mentioned to have gone to the Elven Court. Where is this mentioned? |
| #21elvenavengerMay 16, 2009 13:00:59 | i think in one of the antholagies. I do remember somewhere that he did visit the Elven court but beyond that i dont know if he stayed there throughout the ToT |
