Even 18delta because Corellon is awesome like that also this is now a thread about how Corellon's church has adapted to non-elves in the ranks.

I find it difficult to think about an answer to this without considering the identities of these non-elves turning to Corellon.  I imagine most, but not necessarily all, of the non-elven converts are arcane types.  Magic is probably his most accessible and broadly known area of influence, aside from "elf stuff."  Also, there is the issue of divine rearrangement in this portfolio area.  Since there is a long familiarity among all magic-users with acknowledging or at least hearing of Corellon's arcane skill, it would seem like a fairly natural shift for some non-elves and is probably viewed as an understandable if somewhat odd "fad" by the elves.  This, I think, would be the first experience of the church as a whole with addressing, adapting to, and accepting this as a larger issue--it might be their only step so far, really.

Non-elven swordmages or other warriors who study elven swordwork would probably be another noticeable group coming to respect and emulate the Protector for his skill at arms in larger numbers.  As these techniques were originally developed by elves, there is already discontent among the elven people that outsiders learn them at all.  Seeing the trend develop into full blown worship of "their" god might offend many more isolationist and prideful elves.

With the return of Faerie, planar wanderers and ranger types may also revere Corellon as a master of this fantastic realm.  (Hm, sidenote: Shaundakul saved by Corellon as an archfey patron here? Kind of like Maiden of the Moon....)  As these are likely isolated inviduals, they would probably cause little bother to the church as a whole.  In fact, many in the church would probably wish the other types would follow suit!  (Imho, Corellon himself does not necessarily have these mortal hangups.)

In summary, I think the church of Corellon would encourage individual non-elven worshipers and priests, accept in a rather neutral manner scholarly & lay worshipers, and be resolutely uncomfortable with extending positions of leadership to non-elves.  The latter would be completely unacceptable in an elven homeland.

More on these converts...
One has to wonder why these non-elves would turn to an "elven" deity, and I'm sure the elves wonder this as well.  Many likely believe these somewhat comical and lost souls all secretly wish to be elven.  That, at least, would be understandable to many elves.  ;)  However, how devoted can a non-elf be if they are simply pretending to be an elf??  This type of generalization will doubtless often be held against non-elven followers and will be a major stumbling block for most elves (esp. sun & moon elves, a.k.a. eladrin).  Those in the clergy would then be the first to ask, how long do such arguments hold up if Corellon continues to send his calling and blessings to N'Tel'Quessir?  This is the point where things become interesting and different stories blossom, I think.  Most non-elven worshipers would probably see themselves as expressions of Corellon's grace and power in new, beautiful forms.

One can just imagine the mouth-frothing frenzy this development must be engendering in the EV...

It's more proof of the corruption spreading in Myth Drannor, and the bad influence of those softy moon elf houses.
It just shows that sun elves should rule supreme.

He tells the elves and half-elves (poor things) to wait for a certain amount of non-elf worshippers, then they are all sacrificed. If the locals get suspicious the elves tell them that all the non-elfs have gone on a quest for 'the greater good'...sorted. End of Thread..Next...

(Or look at Real World religions, they let nearly anyone in, promise some sort of reward or attainment of something at death, demand or suggest donations by the worshippers, instruct the followers to convince non-believers to join and perform 'good' acts for the greater good of the religion or the individual)
