Jul 08, 2008 18:06:32 Hi I am searching for information about the Cormyrian Highknights, I read about one in a Ed Greenwood story, and I actually used them es backround for one of my players.
I immagined them as a kind of benign secret service, and their agends pretty much like James Bond without all the sex. The game started last week and I am using the FR conversion of KotS, so the threat of an unleashed Dragon so close to Sembia and Netheril seemed a good threat for them to get active.

Well anyways I am searching for source material/Ed words about them and if they are "real" or were just a one-shot.

Jul 08, 2008 18:17:31 They've been mentioned briefly in a few of Ed's novels, though nothing much more than a namedrop that I recall. Elminster's Daughter mentions them quite a bit, but that's about it that I'm aware of. I'd agree with your basic assessment there, except that they seemed just as into sex as Bond ever was... just more quiet about it. Of course that doesn't seem that unusual for Cormyr really... :D

But hey maybe the Cormyr article will have something about them, it´s unlikely but I can still hope

I don't actually know if Highknights are in there, but if any bit of the internet could have what you're looking for I'd figure that compilation is the place to look first.
