#1 RUMPLESTIX Sep 22, 2008 20:04:09	The epic harper path listed in the Dragon artice says that the character is invested with the blessings of the seven gods of the dancing place. Who are the seven? Are they all alive, and if not, how can you be invested with their blessing?
#2 lord_karsus Sep 22, 2008 21:19:59	-According to Code of the Harpers: The meeting was convened in a remote spot that could be defended from attack-a wooded hill in the High Dale known as "the Dancing Place" because korreds had once dwelt there in numbers. The human druids who lived there now were astonished when a score of dryads appeared from trees all over their hill. These bid the druids make welcome the priests of other faiths who would come. Dusk came early that day, and a moon rose bright and full and clear on a night when no moon should have shone. It was four nights before Midsummer in the Year of the Dawn Rose (720 DR). The frightened druids saw a strange assortment of folk come to them, some riding winged horses, others stepping out of empty air, and still others trudging up the mountain passes with well-worn staves and weary feet. When the assembly was complete, the druids of Silvanus saw that clergy of Deneir, Eldath, Lliira, Mielikki, Milil, Mystra, Oghma, Selune, Tymora and the elven gods had gathered on their hill. A certain irascible mage by the name of Elminster stepped out onto the height and spoke of why the elves had called for this parley...

#9 mbrand Sep 26, 2008 7:58:29	Butterbum, her Exarch of Beavers, got her. No one saw it coming despite the inevitibility of just such a scenario happening. On a serious note, assuming a rational explanation can be found for the use of just seven gods in the Harper epic Path and eliminating the ones that have shed their immortal coil, this leaves us with Silvanus Oghma Selune Tymora Mielikki Corellon This leaves us with six, with one missing. Either the aforementioned deceased Goddess Eldath still grants her blessings (or is not truly dead just dried up) or one of the Exarchs (Llira, Milil, some elf god that didn't get cosmological surgery) has maintained enough of their power or presence that the Harpers still count them. *OR* A new god has been invited into the fold and is taking up some of the slack left in the divine die off. I'd suggest Angharradh.
