Hi,
I'm planning to make my Campaign during the Times of Trouble. This is definately a challenge for me, since there's not alot to help me with due to the new rules and only a dm's and a players book (so far).

I need the specific dates for all occurences during the year the Gods walked Toril. I have only a book that says what happened, but not when. I need this for my campaign calender. Can anyone help me with this?

Also - I'm not quite sure how this will affect the spellcasters in the group. Any ideas for before and after Mystra's death (before Midnight takes the 'throne')? A good Wild Magic table would also help a lot.

Can anyone help?`

Well, the good news is that most of the information is out there... the bad news is that most of its copywritten by WotC/TSR, and even though they own these boards, they take a very dim view on people posting their intellectual property in the level and amount of detail you're asking for (not the dates, the Wild Magic table). I seem to recall adventure modules being published for 2e, Shadowdale, Tantras, and Waterdeep, detailing the ToT, though I've no idea if they're available online anywhere... you might find them on Ebay or something, but were it a month or two ago, I'd say pick them up in pdf format, but that's not an option anymore unfortunately.

You might try sifting through some of these, particularly the Volo's Guide to All Things Magical, that might have the wild magic table, or at least give you an idea on how best to approach it. If nothing else, you might try a bookstore to look through the novels, which conveniently have the same names as the modules I mentioned up there, to see if any specific dates are mentioned for its beginning and ending. All I can think of off the top of my head, hope it helps some.

By the by, those two books for 4e FR are all that are coming, at least according to what WotC has told us, the rest, if any, will be coming through DDI and novels, not gamebooks. Good luck running it with 4e... some of it, I honestly don't have any idea how you could, since a lot of the concepts inherent to 4e were just not present back then. It's gonna take a lot of judgment calls I'd guess to run it under those rules.

I didn't know I needed a date.

I was going to go to the ToT 'spring mixer' stag. :P

I was planning a wild time, though. ;)

-This belongs in the Forgotten Realms: Realmslore section. It'll be moved.

I've found the Year of Shadow in somewhat detail in several books. The Grand Tour of the Realms and others list the events in 1358. But it doesn't say anything about in what month it happens. I found an old Campaign Setting that had this for the years 1356 and 1557 and that's just a taunt! ;)

I did find the table for the wild magic though in the Shadowdale adventure.
The guide to All Things Magic didn't help, but the old Tome of Magic had a cool table with a hundred options for wild magic effects..

Found another Campaign box, which describes 1367...
That one brought despair - a minute later I found this:

Specific dates for that year! Oh Yea Baby!! :D
They really should release a Giant Tome of the Realms. Otherwise so much will be lost..

The entire ToT is described in minute detail in the Forgotten Realms Atlas, and is given a day-by-day timeline.

As for that find in the 2e ToM - EXCELLENT!

I new there was a better one somewhere. :D

I was going to reproduce it here, but it turned-out to be way too much work (there is an entry for all 100 results of the die).

Ah, good catch MT, I'd completely forgotten about the FRA timeline... never remember that book for some aggravating reason.
