Yes, but with added text to retro-fit them into the Realms.

Not the greatest retro-fit, mind you, but still canon.

Imaskar is referred to as the 'Raurin Empire', and there are some oddnesses regarding the survivor states, religion, and the Durpari (who seem to have had a thriving trade with the survivor states for awhile).

I have placed all of the locales on my newest Hordelands map - you want me to post it again? CK doesn't have it (the new one), and I don't think it's up anywhere else right now.

-Thanks, thats what I was thinking. I just got the PDF from Paizo tonight. It looked as if those other PDF's would be a part of it (34 MB is really big for an adventure). I am so Glad I DIDN'T buy those other PDF's. I went on a little 1E Forgotten Realms PDF buying Spree tonight. Gotta get my lore somewhere right. I pretty much have all of the 1E Forgotten Realms on my Computer. :D

The original three modules, NO.

The compilation into the mega-module called Desert of Desolation, YES.

Although it doesn't include the FR logo (unfortunately), it is most definately consideried FR canon (in much the same way the Bloodstone Lands stuff was retro-fitted in FR).

You want really weird, all the original lore about Netheril and Karsus was part of another game system, that was bought by TSR/D&D and shoe-horned into FR.

DragonQuest.
It was owned by SPI, and when TSR aquired SPI, they took a good chunk of the lore from Dragonquest and transferred it to FR.

There were plans early on by TSR to continue both systems, and the module The Shattered Statue was written for both systems. That module, by the way, takes place in the Thunderpeaks, and the statue that the main storyline is about is even referenced by Ed somewhere in canon FR lore.

As an interesting (to me) side note, I was big on counter-based game when I was younger, and I was a huge fan of Avalon Hill (bought-out by Hasbro), and my best-bud preferred SPI... and we played great games from both companies. I find it weird, now, all these years later, that Hasbro has manged to obtain both (although the SPI IP's went through several hands before winding up with Hasbro).

He is... in my eastern one.

He would have fit in a thousand years ago, during a rather tumultous time-period for the Hordelands. Raumathar and Narfell had recenlty disappeared during the great conflageration (by about a century and a half), Tsharoon was was on its way out (the Quoya desert was swallowing it up), and Solon (which was a rival of Bakar) was making agressive overtures toward the Mountain kingdoms, and the Raurin Desert was further expanding as well (due to the mad Pharoah Amun-Re removing the life-giving magic that created the last River - the Athis - of the Raurin).

There were at least two Imaskari survivor states south of the Plains of Purple Dust - now gone (except for the self-repairing city of Solon), and at least two to the north - Bhaluin and Tsharoon. Anok-Imaskar appears to have had the most lasting influence, although it had already disappeared when the events detailed in DoD happened (Shou-Lung had already undergone two other eras since that time), and Tsharoon, Ra-Khati, Guge, and Khazari would have been all that was left of it at that time.

-Dragon Quest: The Enchanted Forest is where the Dire Woods, Jhingleshod, and Karsus come from.

I have that version as well as the originals. I believe the version you have posted does have a realms logo on its binding does it not?

Whats even more interesting - and I'm trying to figure out a way to connect it - is that the storyline in those modules is almost an exact replica of the one of Memnon and Calim - we have a very powerful Efreet Lord showing up creating desert and destroying stuff, and a Djinn who's responsibility to stop him, and both of them being 'bound' until someone (the PCs, in this case) comes along and releases them.

The only difference is that Calim was acting on his own accord, and Aeraldoth was summoned and tasked by Martek.

As for Memnon and Khalitharius - they could be brothers. The plotlines are WAY similar (although entrapped Dgen are a recurring theme everywhere anyway).

I have that version as well as the originals. I believe the version you have posted does have a realms logo on its binding does it not?

I wouldn't know - I have a pdf, and it doesn't show the spine.

A LEGAL copy, BTW, purchased from Paizo, in case anyone was wondering. I may be a lot of things, but I'm not a thief... or a pirate... Arrrgh! IMAGE(http://www.council-of-elrond.com/forums/images/smilies/pirate2.gif)
