Oh yeah, it's still there, but from what I can tell, it's like a zombie, still moving, but for all intents and purposes, it's dead. I mean, killing Mystra and Eilistraee (among others), and doing who knows what to the rest (I only know what Wikipidia says, and it's all bad). Fortunately for me, none of that is "real" until I buy and read the books (and I'm not gonna buy them... I don't want my beloved Faerun destroyed). Course, it's not just wizards... it seems to be the entire entertainment industry. 4th edition did to Faerun what The Phantom Menace and the Vector Prime (and the crap after it) did to Star Wars or what Enterprise did to Star Trek (although to a MUCH lesser degree). |
