I'm not with DDI, so don't know. Anyone got info on if the Spellplague affected species differently? I mean, did mammals get hit harder that amphibians and such?

IMO, I think the smaller the brain the more likely they would have been affected because the animals rely mostly on instinct. But you do have to wonder what type of damage it caused to their brains for instance:
Do some animals do the exact same thing they used 2, or are they all reversed?
Are there weird combinations caused by the magical chaos of the weave disbandment?( I.e a rabbit's brain in a snakes body).
How does it affect when you hunt for food?
Can you tell if you come across a magically affected creature(without visible side effects?)

I know there's quite a bit more questions that could be asked but I figure i'd start with a few

For all we know rabbits could be the smartest creatures on Faerun plotting to rid the world of all mortal bi-peds Who do you think really gives the elves their evil tendencies?

You are obviously a CENSORED idiot.

I mean, come on--rabbits? I was asking a simple question and you get all
CENSORED deep and CENSORED.

Chill the CENSORED out and don't get so technical.

Listen you babboon balljuice drinking Dryad, You posted a question and I put my in to help people get started.

And where do you get of dissing rabbits?

FyI rabbits are among the most useful animals in the realms. There really isn't anything you can't use from them. And so yes I am wondering if those animals were seriously affected by the Spellplague.

BTW, you want humor then try not to come with a serious topic to post about

Thanks for the somewhat compliment you spidermonkey reject
What childhood trauma happen to you to have you hate rabbits so? Sounds like you need help getting over this! Call that number to the shrink you were offering to Stigg a short while back.

Rabbits are gentle creatures who provide sustenance to weary travelers on the road, pelts to keep travelers warm. They are among the simplest game to catch, plus they're plentiful good nature creatures and it would be a shame if the cursed Spellplague affected even the small animals who have no stake in the major happenings of the realms.

Okie dokie, well hopefully we are done poking sticks at each other. Honestly I would have to say the way the spellplague seems to work is like a magical radiation. The longer the exposure the worse the effects become, just my speculation but for all I know we could have some teenage mutant ninja turtles hanging out in the remnants of Halruaa. I don't think any particular type of creature were more affected by it though, being that its magical I would assume it works equally well on all creatures. Overall even with the spellplague finished, and all the books released we still seems to know very little about it. The designers more or less left it up to us as to how to handle it. It can work anyway you need it to in your game.

-If you treat it like radiation, those rabbits shouldn't be breeding at all, with radiation making things sterile and all.

My a$$. About the only thing I would ask you about is seeing in the dark.

Even then, I am sure you’d be a complete failure.

They are among the simplest game to catch, plus they're plentiful good nature creatures and it would be a shame if the cursed Spellplague affected even the small animals who have no stake in the major happenings of the realms.

Do you really get into the CENSORED you spew?

Do you know that rabbit makes good stew?

Yeah—step back. I just got funky and rhymed me some stuff.

I personally don't think you know the first thing about rabbits. I mean, have you ever even owned one, or are you just spitting crap out of your a$$? Do you understand the implications of a spellplagued rabbit, bred with a panther, with turbines attached? CENSORED!!!

No. I'm just trying to get Jd help with his repressed trauma's. I'm not the one providing it.

Unrabbitknowerperson!!

-Come on, come on, come on. Lets get with the actual discussion and all now.

What the hell were we discussing?

Oh, yeah. Rabbits.

Evil little bastards.

Okie dokie, well hopefully we are done poking sticks at each other. Honestly I would have to say the way the spellplague seems to work is like a magical radiation. Yes I've had a couple of rabbits as pets and so I know exactly what they are capable of and what the general intellect(which seems to be higher than yours based on your replies:mad and yes I have eaten rabbit stew so I know it is used for food as well

No I don't know what type of genetic manipulation happened duriing the spellplague that would have rabbits affected Which is why I asked you turnip boinking

Now go and do some research in a book other than your Mad magazine matybe you'll learn a thing or 2

EW and LK, I sure hope that the rabbits weren't affected by that type of radiation. It would be a shame to lose a use creature such as that(or any creature for that matter) since they played no real part in the going ons of the world.

-This is the Spellplague we're talking about. Nothing was spared- even the small, minor details that didn't really hurt anyone or anything (except for those who reading things like depth and details caused head pains).

I don't mind suffering the minor headaches making sure I catch all the details. Because sometimes the small details can provide key's to the major details.
For instance IF the rabbits per se weren't affected by the Spellplague (I.e driven insane) Then maybe a intelligent sage doctor-type individual can find out why and maybe apply that to some of the mages/sorcerers/magical beings....etc that went insane to help cure them

-Well, some people do mind, and we can all see the effects of that.

-No doubt, though, that 'Spellplague' can certainly be used to explain all kinds of weird mutations in the animal population. Before the books came out, I always envisioned "Abeir" as some kind of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" world, so in that vein, mutated fish that fly and mutated birds that swim would fit.

Wait…you ate your pet rabbits? What in the CENSORED is wrong with you—do you have no heart?

And don’t give me grief over my replies. Sweet Bejebuz getting porked by…well…a porcupine—have you seen your use of grammar? It’s horrendous!

No I don't know what type of genetic manipulation happened duriing the spellplague that would have rabbits affected Which is why I asked you turnip boinking

In case you didn’t notice, you ruptured saline implant, who the hell asked about rabbits? Why, you did, ya fur ball murdering frucktart!

“Oh, rabbits are so cute and cuddly and great to use as coats and eat and stuff. I really hope they get radiated and mutate into huge, fat ass monstrosities so I can eat more and have fluffier coats.”

Now go and do some research in a book other than your Mad magazine matybe you'll learn a thing or 2

How DARE you, you hypocritical ninny-ass!! You know, I didn’t say anything against you a few weeks ago when you told me about that rabid squirrel that kept you trapped in the car for two days straight trying to “viciously” kill you while you were starving and dehydrated, but screw that now.

Moron! Squirrels can’t contract rabies!! You were simply in great fear of a chattering rodent that wanted the CENSORED walnuts you bought at the store earlier.

EW and LK, I sure hope that the rabbits weren't affected by that type of radiation. It would be a shame to lose a use creature such as that(or any creature for that matter) since they played no real part in the going ons of the world.

Dumbass.

First off, rabbits are not intellectual creatures—they are instinctual. They cannot possible be driven insane.

Second, why would you look for anyone to cure them when you just want to wear and feast on them?

Rabid squirrels?! Well once again repressed memories come to the surface of a troubled mind such as Judge's. Man you must have had one interesting childhood. You should twitter Dr. Phil dude

Rabbits aren't intelligent..hmmmm I see your also speaking from a certain orifice your so fond of. This is a fantasy world you starfish spanking sharknut. The smaller creatures are far more intelligent than you tend to believe. Otherwise explain the way rangers speak with them. When?

You know, logic is separated by the thought process that arrives at it. I generally drive back and forth to the destination twice before you arrive at it.

Well JD it would entirely depend on what type of pet, common household pets definatly not, Penthouse pets?

By the time you've actually formed a logical thought I've solved it and moved on to the next. 3 and the only reason you see me at that thought is because I've stopped back to make sure you've reached that thought per se.

Point for me

Point for you

Sorry about the confusion, I don't have the cheat sheet for JD's Mad Libs of insults. So fill in the following insult with the proper words from your cheat sheet, You son of a (Adjective) (Verb) (Noun) who likes to (Verb) a (Adjective) (Noun). Which I'm sure even your limited intellect can do.

MORE trauma!? Well did you at least get a happy ending out of it?

So back to topic. Are hares pretty much identical to the rabbits? Same creature or different? Intellect the same? I know the similarities here in our world but what about Faerun. Or is there a manual or something similar I can purchase?
