Nothing I know of contradicts it, but I admittedly avoided the planar stuff in 3e since I greatly preferred the existing Great Wheel lore of 2e. If you go by sources such as 2e's Faces of Evil for the Planescape setting, then yes, they do sleep, but not necessarily the way most 'living' beings do. From what I recall, the weaker the being, the less sleep they need all at once, but they need it fairly frequently... the more powerful they are, the more sleep they need during extended periods, but they can go for a long damned time (years, if not centuries for something like a pit fiend or balor) between those rests. |
