I know that the Tech Proficiency feat would be harder to take for high level characters like Khelben; but how would a DM try to seamlessly put the two together. This is for 3.5e D&D. |

Assuming you ignore spelljammer, you could easily have the Realms at the fringe of the Dragonstar Empire. Have the empire land a ship and declare ownership. Some people will resist but sufficient firepower can be brought to suppress them. If you want to make the Realms a world already in the empire, you would need to add technology to the setting. I'm not really sure how I would do that. |

Either that, or it just hasn't been discovered yet. Going to war on a planetary scale would certainly be a very different sort of "Realms Shaking Event." ;) |

| #6crazy_monkeyMay 17, 2009 11:57:16 | D&D in space, but adhering better to the principles of science fiction than Spelljammer does. So, D&D in space with blasters and sci-fi style ships and cyber-tech and a bunch of other niftiness. The setting is ruled by a draconic empire with the current emporer being a red dragon just starting his thousand year rule. |

| #8dulsiMay 19, 2009 9:55:36 | Unfortunately Dragonstar is no longer in print and has been removed from the publisher web site. Here is a link to the internet archive. Here is the yahoo group. Interestingly when looking for links I found someone who used Forgotten Realms with Dragonstar. |
