Drow vs. Dark Elves in 4e

Jul 29, 2008 15:27:11 Drow are the same as ever but it seems that they are now complete under the control of Lolth (the other Dark Seldarine died, so Lolth got them all). Dark Elves are now elves with brown skin, black hair and when they die, they are welcome in Arvandor like the other good alligned elves. So they are that, what Dark elves once were before the Descent (4th Crown War).

Jul 29, 2008 15:43:18 Next month we will know. :D I can only say that what's described in the novel where they were "created". I do not know if there is an excerpt or preview from WoTC for the game rules, but there could be (did I mention that I hate the new webdesign? It is like something we let our childrens do in germany during easter time, searching the eggs from this damn rabbit).

Jul 29, 2008 17:27:59 I think it was LordK telling me they would just take on the stats of wild elves, but I don't think that will happen. They may look like wild elves, a good description of there physical apperiance but I'd still like to think them cappable wizards.

Drow: Dark Elves who were cursed by the Seldarine, because of their actions during the Crown Wars, and their worship of the Dark Seldarine.

Drow: Have Darkvision, Faerie Fire, Darkness and other abilities.
Dark Elves: Do not have Darkvision, Faerie Fire, Darkness and other abilities.

Jul 29, 2008 17:51:59 Best guess seems to indicate that Dark Elves will use the stats for Elves from the 4E PHB. Drow will, of course, use the stats for Drow. :P
