| #1halfricanSep 02, 2008 16:06:49 | It's written: Elemental Assault- +3 to damage based on elemental manifestation. But as it stands, some of the manifestations aren't so cut and dry. The obvious one is: Firesoul (Fire), duh. But that leaves a few more shady ones: Stormsoul: Does it count as thunder or lightning. Which would you get a bonus to? Earthsoul: Has no damage type. Would it be force? This one is the tricky one: Watersoul and Windsoul: Logically, one would assume cold for either, but based on racial abilities windsoul seems to get this. I imagine the separate souls will be elaborated on more clearly in the book, but for now we are left confused, it seems. |
| #2naexSep 03, 2008 1:08:12 | It's written: For Airsoul - Lightning (tradition, Air elementals used lightning as an attack) for Stormsoul - Thunder (because of Airsoul) for Watersoul - Cold (as you said, logical) for Earthsoul - Acid (the other elemental damage from older editions) |

That does seem feasible for earth, though I could easily see it in water as well, since based on the text for windsoul, it seems more likely to get the cold treatment. I'm still worried about stormsoul getting thunder and lightning, which seems broken to me. Their power boosts both, and that's all we have to go on at the moment. My current best guess is: Firesoul (Fire) Earthoul (Acid or Force) Watersoul (Cold or Acid) Windsoul (Cold) Stormsoul (Thunder or Lightning) |
