Does anyone else see a potential connection between:
- the Companion sun,
- Fort Morninglord,
- the High Observer's interdiction, and
- the absence (sort of)* of Lathander?

The already terrifying possibilities of the strange keep exploded to epic levels when I considered this conspiracy theory of sorts.

HA! I was just about to ask if anyone had any information on Elturgard because I was thinking that perhaps the Fort Morninglord paladins learned something of the nature of the Companion Sun and couldn't live with the revelation and so killed themselves. Having said that, I'm not really sure what they could have learned about the sun that would have been so terrible.
Well, officially I don't know either what they might have learned (or if anything was learned at all), but that's sort of the reason I started this thread. Does anyone have an opinion on the thought/ adventure/ storyline of Lathander being held prisoner in the fort, specifically? His essence being used to power the Companion sun, Amaunator engineering this self-righteously or perhaps being duped into it, taking Lathander's place in the pantheon, having the hard work of keeping Lathander imprisoned done by a city of Tormish who are none the wiser?

Are they actually referred to as heretics? Cause if, in fact, there is NOT a conspiracy then it seems they were right.
Is Lathander being held somewhere Deeeep within the keep?
If he is, then is Amaunator keeping him there or knows of his existance or is he really even Amaunator. With the return of Netheril I have half a mind to have Jergal try to regain what was his.
