| #1AlphastreamOct 15, 2009 16:55:33 | Is there anything on the history of Elturgard beyond what is in the FRCG? Are there any cultural bits, such as typical names, appearance, mannerisms, culture, real-world equivalent, and so on? I'm curious if there are any canon titles or heirarchical organization the paladins use. Also, has anything been detailed on the forests of the area, such as Forest of Wyrms, beyond what is found in the FRCG? Thanks! |

The most widely used human language in the Area is Chondathan, common names would be Chondathan is pretty much the Realms version of English, so as far as real world equivelent i could see Old English, although the cities of the realm were all basicaly merchant towns, so i could see a good mixx of different cultures and customs. |

The position of general was named High Rider. They followed Helm so my guess not much of them will be left though. |

This looks like a job for the EYE OF JUSTICE! Witness the brilliance of the Threefold God, as He spreads his message to the far corners of Realmspace, and my brilliance, as I make my 1100th post! |

and to think I only need less that 200 posts to get my 2000th post. |
| #7AlphastreamOct 16, 2009 14:25:27 | Cool stuff, thanks! I saw in a different thread about how the second sun started. Good stuff. (I especially enjoyed the WotC oops in placing it in a different city in two sourcebooks). Has there been any mention to further detail Elturel? Do the paladins have names for any of the keeps in the region? How about the Forest of Wyrms and Najara? I read the Najara section, which is interesting and points at lots of ruins. I was curious if this is an area the paladins and previous inhabitants have just plain avoided or whether they would venture into it at times. Also, has the forest always been the way it is now, or has it changed since previous source material?

Najara is a pretty nasty place, so i wouldnt see too many Paladins headed there unless they really, really had to. Im sure theyve got border patrols and whatnot in the area. And the Forest of Wyrms has been there for a long awhile so im guessing not much has changed there. |
| #9LordManshoonOct 16, 2009 14:49:31 | I think Serpent Kingdoms had a fairly big amount on Najara. Sadly, it's one of the few I still need to acquire, but I believe I saw Najara mentioned to some detail based on other posts ages ago. |

Really? I thought it was a new 4e thing. I dont ever remember hearing about it before. I'll have to read through the Serpent Kingdoms. Ive got a copy of the book, but i never really gave it more than a flip through. The best part IMO was the web enhancement that had the Saurials in it. |
| #1118DELTAOct 18, 2009 0:56:53 | Serpent Kingdoms is one of my Favorite 3E books. It's full of lore. |

Most definatly! And Najara is indeed in there, old ancient kingdom. I thought it was made up just for 4e, I had never heard of it before, but thats just the way they wanted it! |
| #13LordManshoonOct 18, 2009 11:15:36 | Still haven't decided what I'm doing with Najara or Elturgard in my own Realms yet. I want Najara to be a bigger player than it's presented, but I don't want to overdo the power of the scalyfolk. |
