Having read both new books now, I am wondering has anyone begun to work on Magic Holy Symbols, specific to Faerun, like the ones that appear for the core gods in the Adventurer's Vault? Any thoughts?

Just picked up the Adventurer's Vault today.....I've a feeling my players will be leading the charge in terms of getting these items into the game. ;)

That said, at first glance the Holy Symbols listed on pages 83 - 91 of the Adventurer’s Vault seem to lend themselves well to the Realms.

For example, Holy Symbols of Sacrifice (allows a player to lose HP equal to the symbol’s bonus to allow an ally to make a saving throw vs. an ongoing effect) just scream Ilmater. This is an item I’d expect to see on the person of any senior painbearer in service to Ilmater.

Sun Disk of Pelor = Sun Disk of Aumanator (adds +1d10 radiant damage on a critical per plus on the holy symbol; all damage dealt by powers using the holy symbol is radiant damage with a free action allowing this power to be turned on or off).

The Moon Disk of Sehanine seems like it could be used by priests of Shar (this holy symbol allows you to place a “darkening veil” over a foe, so they take -5 to hit on their next attack) as much as priests of Selûne.

The Holy Symbols list extends from level 1 to level 30 and features 36 unique kinds of holy symbols, so there’s bound to be plenty for Realms DMs to adapt to their campaigns.
