When 3.5 came out, you made the decision to post a bunch of old 2E content on the Wizards web for free. That was great.

Since Faiths and Pantheons has been out of print for a while, and since the FRCG contains little in the way of descriptions of the gods, is there any chance we can see the PDF of this book put up on the website anytime soon? I know the faiths aren't EXACTLY the same in 4E, but there's a lot of neat material there that is easily adaptable.

Aug 19, 2008 16:49:32 They have never added anything to that list, despite the claim on the site that they would. They should post all the 1e and 2e stuff there, and any of the out of print 3e stuff (which will soon be all of it, if they are destroying their backstock as I hear they are).

-I wouldn't count on it. Especially with the OGL and all of that still in effect and whatnot.

You have to pay for it, though, but the older stuff isn't as expensive as the newer from what I can tell.

I am thinking that (a) Wizards likely doesn't make much money from that sort of sales; and (b) they might generate more interest in the Realms by making it available for free.

Call me an optomist. This sort of thing doesn't have much to do with GSL anyway; making it available for DL for free doesn't make the content reprintable or saleable any more than my posting a novel I wrote and copyrighted online would allow you to steal my IP.
