Dec 15, 2009 21:54:09 -The FRCG doesn't give a specific date for the event that I can find. It happened because Fzoul Chembryl alligned the Zhentarim with the Phaerimm, drawing the animocity of the Shadovar. I'd wager that it happened somewhere between 1,377 DR and 1,385 DR.

Dec 15, 2009 22:01:47 I figured it would be sometime around there... the Forgotten Realms wiki places it between 1476-1479 (forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Fzoul_Che...).

For the sake of my campaign, I guess I'm gonna go with 1478 as the definitive date.

Dec 15, 2009 23:14:40 1378 is what I mean, I just had 1400's on the brain (that is, of course, the century where almost every other notable event in my campaign timeline occurs).

Anytime in that general window between when hostilities began with the Zhentarim and the "reborn" Myth Drannor (1,374 DR) to the Spellplague (1,385 DR) seems to fit best. After the Spellplague, everyone likely has their own worries to tend to. During that little window, the Zhents engaged in guirilla war with Myth Drannor, arranged a peace pact, and then (seemingly) alligned themselves with a group that had prior grievances with the Elves of the area, a la Hezbollah and Israel.

As has been pointed out before, Brian's Timeline is not "official" canon, but being that Brian is a Grand Historian of the Realms, Id say its official enough
