Ideally a gnome would work best, but any other famous character in the realms will be great. I just need to find one who would build an Apparatus of Kwalish or something similar. |

He is/was a inventor gnome illusionist/thief who made his own gadgets; a modified crossbow of speed (the flasher master bruiser), vision enhancing goggles and an energy absorbing leather suit. |
| #3kev777Jan 23, 2011 10:13:33 | oh yeah. I actually used Jan all the way to end of ToB. I have fond memories of him using his wand of wonder on Wulfgar and turning him to stone. Is there anything about the BG games that are considered FR canon? |
| #4sfdragonJan 23, 2011 12:33:24 | they are liscenecd canon, which if yer the DM then they are canon. officially canon on the otherhand, only would apply if there is a novel to go with said game. there is also that gnome sorcerer from Neverwinter Nights. |

He's something of the DaVinci of the Realms, judging by the section his work appears in within the pages of Aurora's Catalogue. Somewhere on the WotC site there was a write up and stat block for him during 3e, though I've no idea if its still there, or where one could find it these days. |

Not sure if he qualifies as a tinkerer, but he could well be. |
| #7StiggerFeb 08, 2011 17:52:02 | I'm not sure how any cleric of Gond wouldn't qualify as a tinker in at least some capacity, gnome or not... ![]() |
| #8angelus_obscuraFeb 08, 2011 19:42:17 | Belwar Dissengulp - a svirfneblin (deep gnome) friend of Drizzt. Sure he's not an artificer or any type of mechanic, but he has a magical hammer and war-pick for hands! S'gotta count for sumthin. :D |

I'll have to dig out my Aurara's Catalogue |
