| #1goliahteJul 09, 2010 3:17:13 | So I have been re-reading the Thunderspire Lybyrinth adventure books becasue my group is getting ready to end KotS and I had taken out my FGR(Rorgoten Realms) map that came with the FGR Campaign Guide to see where One of these things where in order to show the players the distance they had to travel from Winterhaven, I found Winterhaven fairly quickly on the northeastern part of the map but I can't seem to find the other two cites mentioned in Adventure Book 1 for TL, nor Thunderspire Mountain on the map at all, i scoured the map for a good hour and half and still could not find it, I am tryingt o account for distance traveled as they started the KotS and finished it in the 'fall' season of the area, so I need t know how long it would take to travel to either of these two places so I can determin how much time has passed and see weather they would have to battle winter elements or not. |

Its a whole nother world. Of course you could always place it in the Realms where ever you wanted. Im still trying to figure out how you managed to find Winterhaven on the Realms map. Is there a Winterhaven in the Realms? *gos off to look at the map* |

Found this aswell, it is a map of Shadowfell, or rather the starting point where the places i was looking in a reigon of Shadowfell called Nentirvale. www.eatmycomix.com/random/NentirVale.jpg |
| #5The_SilverswordJul 09, 2010 4:48:03 | Ahhh, well if these places all exist in the Shadowfell, then it should be pretty easy to tie into the Realms, as it does have a Shadowfell. I dont know much about it really, I never got the Thunderspire adventure. I do have Keep on the Shadowfell laying around here somewhere, that I still havnt really looked at, that a buddy of mine let me borrow. Those battlemaps look pretty sweet though, I may end up using them for something. |
| #6IluvrienJul 09, 2010 5:56:54 | Nentir Vale is PoL, not FR, my group is playing through Thunderspire at the moment. There is, however, no reason why you can't integrate it into your Realms, should you wish to. |
| #7godwinxzJul 09, 2010 6:28:20 | I ran those modules in FR. There is materal in Dungeon #156 that tells how to convert Thunderspire into the Realms. It places Thunderspire around Cormyr. |

Aye, I've got KotS and it's *ahem* free FR conversion tools. I think one cool aspect of it being in Cormyr is the previous adventures that were about the plane of Shadow (Cormyr: Tearing of the Weave, 3.5e) and the fact that the town of Thunderstone is also in Cormyr. It's a pretty cool place to do Thunderspire campaign . |
| #9goliahteJul 10, 2010 19:28:30 | Thanks for all your guys help, I will have to find that content, i might have it already someplace, and work it cause I like using familliar lands cause not everyone knows much about the Plane of Shadow(Not Planes of Light sense the realm is claled Shadowfell) but more are common with Faerun. |

Thunderspire Labyrinth doesn't take place in or even have any connection to the Shadowfell. All of the H-P-E series of adventures take place in the Nentir Vale region of the Points of Light (aka "core") setting, though eventually they get you hopping off to other planes of existence. The FR conversion guides (which have already been mentioned by Godwin) for the first two modules place them in Cormyr. Thunderspire Labyrinth gets relocated to the Thunder Peaks in eastern Cormyr, and the antagonist is changed from being a worshipper of Vecna (who doesn't exist in the FR) to a worshipper of Cyric (who doesn't exist in the PoL setting). Similarly, the conversion recommended changing Kalarel from KotS to a cultist of Shar. |
