| #2suin_bahhar_02Sep 24, 2008 16:48:58 | Not sure but is Chauntea a primordial now? I'd give Supernal as the bonus language as she is (used to be) a goddes(?). |
| #3marius4Sep 24, 2008 17:42:35 | Hey, I like it Darius! Pretty cool. I actually really like it, and I love the flavor write up. Very enjoyable. I would use this in my game. Some points of discussion: 1) Echoing Suin Bahhar, why Primordial?? 2) Why a language at all? 3) Doesn't regeneration until your next turn just equal healing? 4) The exception to the turning ability seems a bit clunky. Why are demons an exception? What are you going for? 5) The path features overall might be a tad soft, IMHO. (Not totally sure.) The Silverstar comes to mind as a path with similar "softness" to it....but it has 4 features instead of just 3. Perhaps another feature? |
| #4dariusredravenSep 24, 2008 18:09:44 | I choose primordial to represent the ability to speak "elemental". In most versions, the priests have generally been given Terran as a language, but that no longer exists, so primordial was the next logical choice. As for not affecting demons, that is a by product of demons being rolled into the Elemental sub class in 4e. The idea was that she can turn plants and elementals, but as it is worded keyword wise in 4e, that would allow her to turn demons. I was afraid that it would be too powerful if it affected them, but perhaps not. The regen next turn does equal delayed healing, and it was to mirror her epic level power of regen. I have pictured her healing as a form of regrowth, so delaying it one turn as you slowly regrow, is just a flavor twist to the otherwise boring mechanic of healing now. Thansk for the advice. I am looking ata revised version now. |
| #5dariusredravenSep 29, 2008 21:03:56 | Here is version 2.0. Harvester The world has become an untamed field. Left fallow by darkness and villainy. I am here to separate the wheat from the chaff. Prerequisites: Any divine class, must worship Chauntea You are the voice of the Great Mother amongst the people. Everywhere her blessings bring prosperity and growth, you are welcomed. But in the years since the Spellplague, the world has grown wild. Foul beasts and aberrations encroach on even the most peaceful of lands, threatening to swallow whole the pastoral life that Chauntea holds dear. Only you stand between darkness and the simple folk. You strive against the Spellplague, as it is an example of nature gone awry. The cults of Talona and Malar are to be opposed wherever they arise, as their "natural order" is nothing more than perversion designed to render nature back to chaos and destruction. Harvesters are most often wandering priests, or servants of the land that minister to farm lands and rural communities. Generous and giving, they are often seen as healers of the land, whose arrival means good fortunes for crops to come. But when evil shows its face, many are shocked to find the Harvesters resolve as sturdy as the earth herself. Harvester Path Features Voice of the Great Mother (11th Level): You gain the ability to speak with and understand all NPCs with the Plant or Earth Keywords, regardless of language. You gain a +5 power bonus to Diplomacy rolls with those NPCs. Lessons of Sap and Vine (11th Level): When you spend an action point, you gain +2 power bonus to Fortitude and Regeneration of 5 + your Wisdom modifier until the end of your next turn. | #6DiffanOct 08, 2008 15:22:40 | Cool Paragon Path and the fluff is very well written. The only thing I'd suggest is adding a "Miss" chance on the Reap and Sow attack. Something like Miss: 3d4 and targets are pushed 1 square back. Also, I think the damage is a little weak if you ask me. Maybe kicking it up do a d6? |
