FR 4e maps and generators?

May 31, 2009 13:09:51 I'm about to start running a 4e FR campaign and started looking for some village/town/city generators and more 4e FR maps. Some questions:

Any good 4e FR political boundary maps? I found a couple 3e ones here and here, but no 4e political maps.
Any other FR player created maps? My GoogleFu didn't unearth anything.
Any 4e village/town/city generators? I found a few nice ones but they are either for other games, too generic, or for earlier editions of D&D.
Is there a 4e FR wiki? I only found this 3/3.5 edition wiki.

I'm in the process of creating a 4e political map and have a VERY early prototype of a 4e FR village/town/city generator. My map might be done soon, but the generator will be a (long) while, if I ever complete it.

-The Forgotten Realms Wikia is a Wikia for the Forgotten Realms, period. Being as that there's a lot of edition-specific stuff, it does enough to incorporate this information in certain areas, and not in others, making it, overall, a very...a source that is very low on the list of sources. That's not that the people who play around with it aren't trying their hardest, but...

Jun 01, 2009 10:55:52 I don't really do political maps (mostly because FR doesn't really have too many well-defined borders), so I can appreciate your efforts and look forward to anything you have to offer the community.

Especially because you are interested in 4e - I really wish someone would start doing nice maps for that era... I just don't have the time.

Jun 01, 2009 19:25:23 Thank you folks. My political map is based on the WOTC released digital version of the map that came with the FRCG. Yes, I've found out the hard way that political borders in FR, especially 4e FR, aren't well-defined.

-The best political map that exists is probably that the FRCS that you linked to.
