I've been away from the community for a while, and I now see that the forums have switched over to 4E. I haven't entirely made that switch myself, and was wondering if any of the 3.5 material on these forums had been archived somewhere?

I've looked around and haven't found anything, so I'm hoping it's more a matter of my lack of search skills, and not a matter of everything pre-4E being deleted...

I suppose Wizard made a clean break with 3.5, then?

That makes me a sad puppy, given how...fervently...I supported 3.5 products.

Actually, these forums are supposed to be edition-neutral. People have discussed stuff about previous editions here, and you are free to do the same.

Hello Friend!

You might want to head over to Pathfinder at Paizo.

They also have Ed, Elaine, Sean and some others working on the products. :D

-The Forgotten Realms sections are edition neutral, as the Forgotten Realms are a setting independent of the rules you use to play D&D with. You'll fine 3e and 4e information.

Excellent, so it IS my search skills that need work. Good to know those old threads are still around here somewhere.

And 2e, too!! Rah! Rah!

I look sweet in a pink skirt!!!

As for all the archived stuff, well, I don't know if it all made it like you want. When the merge came a lot of stuff was condensed. Was it all lost? Don't know. Do know I had trouble finding stuff at the time though.

-Yeah, 2e and 1e stuff, too. And Pathfinder. Those don't come up all that often, though. But, there's room for those, too.

-WotC had plenty of server issues over the spring and summer. Stuff that predated Jan 2007 or December 2006 is all gone, yeah. Stuff past that though is still around. I'm in the process of moving a lot of the archived stuff into it's proper place. With all of the thread merging and splitting and all, everything wound up in the Realmslore section.

Come on, man!!

Please don't tell me you are going to try and merge any of that stuff with newer threads!! The space-time continuum always gets frucked when that's done.

-No. Threads that were all smooshed into the Realmslore section, back when we only had one section, that don't belong there anymore, because we have three now, I am slowly moving to their proper places.
