| #1davesaundersJul 26, 2009 19:24:18 | i have ddi and i read the new article about airspur and its an okay article but does anyone know what articles they have being planned? i hate the new FR and set my edition 4 games in the old FR so alot of these new articles are useless to me. there should be plans on making articles that have the edtion 4 rules but specific to FR. this article the one about the moonshae islands the one about cormyr they were okay but from my standpoint pretty useless in my games. my subcsription is expiring soon and im starting to think its not even worth reupdating. i got it mostly for the FR articles since its the only real place to get new info and rules but that part has been so lacking. The character maker and rules are useful but i could live without those. ive been doing it the old fashined way since the original books came out and i could go back that way if i had to. |

There is supposed to be a Sembia article coming along one of these days. BRJ said he was going to start it months ago after that "Which region do you the fans want to see?" poll finished, but I think he was given other tasks. I can't promise if either will be beneficial to your games (I seriously doubt it though). Other than those, I don't know about any other FR articles in the works. |

| #4iakhovasJul 26, 2009 21:02:21 | Sorry, the Sembia article is officially on the back burner. My next DDI contribution will be a dungeon adventure set in the Moonsea North. Hopefully I'll be able to share more details about it at Gen Con in a few weeks. |

Best of luck on it, Brian. |

Also, will we be seeing any of the other articles related to the survey you conducted a few months ago? Any information about why the Sembia article was shelved? |
| #7lord_karsusJul 27, 2009 10:27:47 | -Ho hum...![]() -As for a more..."open" table of contents, for future articles, there isn't really anything we can do. I mean, look at the old DRAGON magazine. We got, in issues, vague allusions to certain articles that were going to appear in future issues, but ultimately, we didn't know everything that was going to be in the next issue until it was in our hands. |
| #8merrikcaleJul 28, 2009 19:59:44 | have the FR artic been worthwhile at all? just wondering since I never bought DDI |
| #9lord_karsusJul 28, 2009 21:37:17 | have the FR artic been worthwhile at all? just wondering since I never bought DDI -Just like novels, sourcebooks, and old DRAGON articles, it differs from person to person, article to article. Generally speaking, it seems that many of the early articles were fairly throw away, being rule conversion type things (the Genasi/Drow article, for example), without much actual good information. There were one or two very good articles (the articles on Cormyr and/or the Moonshae Isles are generally highly regarded by most). Other than that, the people who seem to be more inclined in liking the new articles that come out seem to like them, and the people who seem to be less inclined in liking the new articles that come out don't seem to like them. WotC has mentioned that the relative light flow of articles concerning the Forgotten Realms will soon pick up, with more and monthly articles dedicated to the Forgotten Realms, so once there is a regular flow of information, people will probably be able to more accurately judge for themselves whether they are generally happy or unhappy with the Forgotten Realms' online coverage. |
| #10BelorinAug 04, 2009 0:07:53 | If the OP is looking for FR articles using the 4E rules, but set before the Spellplague, which it sounds like he is then no, probably not going to see much. If looking for FR 4E articles set in the current time, but based in some of the more established areas, then yes, but it may be a wait. Bel |

| #12quale1Aug 05, 2009 7:32:17 | I was looking forward to the Sembia article, considering how the Moonshaes was good. LK what happened, with your sig? |
| #13The_SilverswordAug 10, 2009 13:10:56 | Id love to see some articles about the Moonsea region. I first got into the Realms thru the old Pool of Radiance game back in the day. Playing it i really got a feel for the moonsea and the surounding cities. Its always been my favorite region mainly for sentimental reasons. But still id like to see some updates on it. It sucks having a character in 4e from that region and not having a special background to go with it like most of the other regions. |

| #15nightseerAug 11, 2009 1:40:40 | I asked Rich if he could or would do an article in Dragon about the Moonsea area, and Hulburg. He said he would look into it, and that it was a great idea.:D I would love to see a back drop article on the Area by Rich. I just love the first 2 novels from the Blades of the Moonsea series. ![]() |
| #16RilsAug 13, 2009 13:31:28 | Well, that's the problem with such a well-developed and large world, with a history like the FR - you can't please everyone at once! Our campaign is currently in Amn/Chult/Calimshan, and there's been squat "officially" said about those areas so far. So we just use our imaginations instead of complaining about it. ![]() |
| #17nightseerAug 13, 2009 13:35:44 | Sounds great to me.![]() |
