#2 AaronOfBarbaria Jun 04, 2014 17:27:57	The only reason that the LFR had to take a different direction than the FR novels was that WotC discontinued their official support of the LFR.   So long as WotC keeps up support of the D&D Adventurer's League program, any organized play set in the Forgotten Realms will be set in the same Forgotten Realms as the officially licensed novels.
#3 biotech66 Jun 05, 2014 6:43:51	I know it was a problem for me, but, is this a problem for anybody else?  Am I the only person who's crazy about this?
#4 Stigger Jun 05, 2014 9:34:42	Personally, I hate the novels and LFR stuff being held as canon, especially the novels part, but I'm apparently in the minority on that viewpoint.  It's something I easily avoid in my own games, and if everyone else loves it, then that's great for them.  As far as I know though, there was absolutely no change in holding the novels as canon, but the only stuff I've seen on RPGA stuff being canon again didn't seem to amount to much more than wishful thinking.
#5 HobbitFan Jun 05, 2014 22:02:40	Biotech66:  My impression is that both the organized play modules from the Adventurer's League and the novels are canon and will impact the game setting.   How carefully coordinated this will be remains to be seen.  I would guess not very....
