Are they planning on releasing any more modules that are FR oriented, or is Spellgard going to be it?

-Don't know. In theory, maybe. I'd expect conversions of adventures in DUNGEON magazine to be more likely.

for the forseeable future, Dungeon would be only place. I don't know if there has been any since I wouldn't pay for the online stuff

There is already an adventure published in Dungeon in the Forgotten Realms. It's fairly decent as well, my main complaint being it's a bit stupid to have the only published Dragon adventure completely coincide level wise with the only official published FR adventure (Scepter Tower of Spellgard). It's a bit of a dumb decision to be honest.

-Why? Because you'd have to pick either one or the other, rendering the one that isn't picked fairly pointless without reworking things like NPC/Enemy levels and such?

Also you could always level it up a a bit to fit your parties level. 4E works within a +5/-5 zone when it comes to leveling up or down encounters.

Yes. They are level 2-4 (I think the other may only be 2-3 can't recall). Neither make a suitable opening adventure (the Wererats in Scepter are murder for first level characters, especially if the DM doesn't realise the DCs were changed on Filth Fever). Also, they are kind of very similar, both involving ascending towers to fight mysterious things. So they don't make very good adventures to run together without substantially leveling one or the other.

At the moment, I use Scepter Tower of Spellgard because it's easier to convert to what I want than the other. If I have to do a bunch of work, I'm going to use the module that is better than the other one instead and just make 10 encounters anyway.

If the other module was lower level or higher level, it would have been better.

Sometimes. It depends on the encounters and the monsters that make them up. Scepter again is superior here, because it has far more variety in encounters, roleplaying opportunities, is a larger space to make use out of and takes PCs up further levels. I would prefer a level 1-2 module (or a level 1 to 2.5 module), or just go late heroic/paragon tier.

-Yeah, that's what I figured. Well, as we have ample evidence of lately, the hand does not necessarily know what the head is doing, and vice versa.

Are there? Excellent! Any chance you could compile the lore snippets in each and related the compilation back to us all, please?
