5) Plague of Spells - Bruce Cordell said that this follows a previous character of his through the aftermath of the spellplague.(set 10 yrs after spellplague) Also said the trilogy would explain why the Aboleth stronghold (the name escapes me) appeared over the sea of fallen stars, why it is storm shrouded and why sailors go out of their way to avoid the area near it.
Looks like at least to some small degree they will be releasing info on the times between the Spellplague and the current 4e Setting date.

I was just going by what some people have said here as a problem with the 4e setting and that was that we'd NEVER have ANY information about the time between the end of 3.x and 4e. Guess I should have checked out the validity of that statement further before I took it as true. My bad...

Well, in fairness, the Thay trilogy is not about the Spellplague but it does play a bit of a role in the book

-It's old news, in that a book series was already alluded to by Rich Baker in his thread, but new in the fact that we have confirmed information about what it is, etc.
-And, any moment now, MT will be by to mention how, already WotC is breaking it's promises not to detail the 100 +/- years between editions, for the sake of novels. And...Go.

Please don't. It is a Trilogy on par in quality with Red Magic by Jean Rabe, and takes the goofiness of low level characters, beating high level ones, to a level I thought impossible even for Wizards.
We're talking silliness on par with farmers catching fireballs with buckets of water to counter them. That doesn't happen, but scaled up the comparrison stands.

And the last. I won't even touch ones written by Ed or Elaine because of it. That level 1 Harpen and his half-donkey make the little nerve in my head twitch.
