The topics will appear too quickly and disappear even moreso, so that no one will be able to get a decent answer to questions requiring any sort of discussion. I think when this happens, I will be kissing the WotC boards goodbye. I have been thinking about it anyway, because of all the perpetual negativity, and now feel in more strongly about it. Throwing the REAL FR fans here in with those guys over at the 4e FR boards is like feeding the Christians to the lions, so to speak.
#3 seTiny May 13, 2008 16:10:24	CM has said in the past that if a forum is too active (threads flying off the first page in a day or so) that they will split them into two forums if need be (and more if there is further need). While this is the [unconfirmed] plan at the moment, if there is a need new forums will be created. Also the 3.5e was not going to get any forums, but they have offered to give 6 (though I think in that thread we may have pushed it to 7), if you wish to continue discussing 3.5e it unfortunately will have to be there. So you wouldn't be mixing it up with the 4e FR, but the 3.5e regulars (and probably any 3.5e Eberron regulars)

I thought it was pretty funny, but obviously someone else did not. For what its worth, most Americans are as against it's Gov't intrusion in other countries as other countries are. Please don't blame us for what our leaders do - we just want to live in peace like the rest of you. Anyhow, it was just a joke, but I guess someone didn't take it that way. Did ya' at least kiss him first? :P ;) Why does that 'interest' you so? Never mind... I really don't want to know. *I'll leave the kissing and hugging for MarkusTay I'm told I can be rather affectionate at times. :D

Its a wonderful place for FR lore. -Not as fun as here. I would have to agree, but only because they keep their threads 'focused'. Really not such a bad thing when you need quality info... but yeah, a wee-bit on the dull side at times. I am 'ramping up' my participation there lately, and once these boards come down, I'll be pretty regular at the Vault as well (for the 'fun side' of the Realms... and just plain BSing.) I really can't think of a single reason why I would want to migrate to the 4e boards, even if I use the 4e rules. I rarely discuss rules - it's the lore I'm after here, and the 4e stuff is not pertinent to anything I'm working on, so it serves no purpose (in my mind) to 'hang' there. If I have a lore question, I have CK, if I have a rules question, I have Enworld, and if I have any future homebrew lore to discuss, I can be found at the Vault. Now there's a place for everything, I can stop wasting time here.

And yes, the mods at CK are sticklers about threads staying on topic. The atmosphere is very friendly though.
