I have 2 problems with Genasi right now,. For one, all their elemental assult stuff is screwed up and backwards. Why would an earth genasi manifest magic Force (non elemented magic) instead of Acid (earth magic)? Fire is the only one that is right in the whole bunch. Storm should be lightning, water should be ice, and wind should be tundering (old sonic).

Grief 2, over half the genasi are bald. WTF? the ones who are not have crystal hair. Again, the only one that is right is fire. Earth can be bald, sure, or they could have rocky knots on their head. Storm is okay with crystals, but cloudy like hair with lightning would be better. Watersoul should have sea blue and green hair tipped with white that falls in 'waves.' For Wind, if you give storm the crystals, then wind gets cloudy like hair, moving like the wind. if you give storm the tundercloud, then wind keeps the crystals. Honestly, it could be better, but i just thought these up in a few minutes and it is better than what wizards did. Is it perfect? Probably not, but at least I didn't just make them all bald if I didn't have a good idea.

is 4e mess up.

they changed them around, and instead of beings with human and genie traits, they have nature traits.

They always had nature traits, as genies have nature traits. But, I must admit, the physical description really irks me.

I'm not sure where you are getting the damage types though. Last I checked, only the fire type and storm type genasi powers deal damage, and both those types of damage make sense (fire for one, thunder and lighting for the other). All the resistances seem to make sense as well... where is this elemental assault power you are complaining about?

Honestly, these aren't game breaking things. In your games, I don't think it would be a problem with changing it (and might do so in mine).

I hate the way Genasi look in 4e and have thrown some of their (WotC) descriptions of certain races out the window. Again, to me it's semantics. If you want your Air Genasi to have light blue hair that always looks as if it's in a breeze, I say go right ahead. Same goes for Tieflings. If you don't want your tiefling to have a tail or (to go the other extreme) look like the Prince of Darkness from the movie Legend, I don't see a problem. As long as your not trying to change game mechanics, I think it's all good.

I think I'm the only one who likes their description (and the artwork for them in the FR Player's Guide).

I think Teonis is refering to the Earthshock power (FR Player's Guide, page 10) as a kind of magical force.

Ditto RE: Diffan's points: By all means change what you don't like! I'll only add that then you should share your changes with us so we can use them in our games too.
