I am looking to create a group most likely based in Akanûl.

This group is made up of Genasi of all sorts that believe in the purity of their elemental manifestations.  They are against those who try to go beyond the natural and develop manifestations that do not belong to their sub-race, such as an Earth Genasi.  They point to the changes in a Genasi personality when they manifest an elemenal manifestation other than the one they are born with.

I am looking for ideas for names of this group.

Thanks!

Interesting idea. Perhaps they have a different look on the Elemental Chaos as well? Something more like the way it was in previous editions, where you had a seperate plane of water, and air, and all that, instead of just lumping it all together into the Elemetal Chaos. The way i see it the planes havnt really changed, just peoples perception of it has.

As for a name for the group Hmmmm I dont know, maybe the Pure Bloods? The Elementals? The Society of Elemental Purity?

The Wrath of Nature
Elemental Fury

Burn finatics ( each element burns, freezer burn, electrical burns, etc)
The Blade of Nature's Fury

Airspur's Chosen Guard

are you going to use the Gensai from the ddi article too??

I really like The Society of Elemental Purity but sfdragon brought up something I didn't even think of.

The Wrath of Nature
Elemental Fury

Burn finatics ( each element burns, freezer burn, electrical burns, etc)
The Blade of Nature's Fury

Airspur's Chosen Guard

are you going to use the Gensai from the ddi article too??

I assume you mean the Abyssal Genasi.  How could they work within this group?  If they are a part of it then I think either The Blade of Nature's Fury or Airspur's Chosen Guard will work.

If I do include them within the group then this group would be one to protect and guide these "cursed" individuals when they are born.   This could be another sticking point against the general Genasi population.

they could work, but IMO most if not all abysal gensai would either not be showing it or be amogst the planes...

Im not sure i would let the Abyssal Genasi in the group, it reminds me of the old para-elemental planes, which were mixtures of the "pure" planes. I dont know though i mean they have thier own manifestations, not just a mix of some of the other ones. Maybe the Abysal ones have their own group or something?

you can  have groups with in a group too.

                                          The Society of Elemental Purity(main)
The Wrath of Nature( sub group)
Elemental Fury (sub group abyssal could fit in here)
The Blade of Nature's Fury(sub group{ could switch out nature with primal})
Airspur's Chosen Guard( sub group : hires out for temple guard expeditions)
all merc contracs are amde out to the soceity

also if every one remembers a Gensai can choose to have a 2nd manifestation as well, which means you could have a wind soul / void gensai at paragon...  and take the elemntal tempest pp.

This is the main issue that this group stands against, the mixing of manifestations.

I could see a secondary role for this group being the protection of the abyssal Genasi as they have their own manifestations, this group would not view them as cursed just different.

They might even run orphanages to care for them.

Only a second manifestation?  I thought a Genasi could have 9 manifestations if one was willing to take the feats.

Abyssal Genasi?

New subraces(STFU elf whiners there's more subraces of Genasi than of elf at this point, and their subraces are ACTUAL subraces) of Genasi from Dragon 380. Basically corrupted by the abyss. Cindersoul, Plaguesoul, Causticsoul and Voidsoul.

Voidsoul is awesome if for no other reason than the mind-breaking racial ability of ceasing to exist until the start of your next turn. You don't just turn invisible. You don't go anywhere. You just *stop existing*.

Are these (abyssal genasi) 4e?
BTW, genasi often have ties with given elementals or Elemental Planes. Throw some imps or mephits or elementals as the group's associates.

-Can't say I recall finding official stats for them. At EnWorld, or maybe Planewalker, I do recall reading Genasi and Elemental variants (Half-Elementals, Half-Paraelementals, Half-Quasielementals), though...

I was just thinking about this, what about Toril Genasi? Do you think that might have a problem with Abierian Genasi? Like damn those Aberians! They think theyre so much better than us!
