Mar 14, 2010 23:39:29 I was looking for some stats for these guys in a 3.5 context. No luck searching the forum.

Has anyone ever seen stats for any of the Ghazneths?

Mar 18, 2010 14:04:35 I'd read a response from Sean K. Reynolds on Ghazneths for Third Edition. In summary, his response was along the lines of advising it's best not to give them stats, since they were all but unkillable plot devices that could destroy all your player's magic items.

If memory serves, the Ghazneths were stated out in Dragon Magazine Annual #4 (1999) for 2nd Edition AD&D.

I used Ghazneths anyway in my 3E Realms game early on, since I set play during the war in Cormyr. I just made them on-the-edge-of-too-challenging-type creatures that the players knew how to temporarily kill or at least beat to submission and burry in a pit before they ran like hell.

They did manage to slay one with an orb of annihilation. Good times. :D
