"At the end of the Sundering, the people who liked the classic Realms... It will look a lot more like that again."

Link to interview.

I spoke with Richard Lee Byers, author of The Reaver, the 4th book in the Sundering series published by Wizards of the Coast. Byers has been writing novels in the Forgotten Realms setting for over a decade, so he's an authority on the setting, and he had some promising things to say about the future of the Forgotten Realms.

He also gives some fantastic writing advice for aspiring writers!

"At the end of the Sundering, things that you were sorry to see leave the Forgotten Realms... There's a pretty good chance they'll be back."

Ah, but will Hoar have stuck a knife in one of Bane's kidneys and then GTFO out of his Plane and find a new place to set up shop? Mayhaps the Fugue Plane and serving under The Lord of the Dead, Kelemvor? Surely, some of the souls who pass through must have died trhough foul play. And with Hoar taking up residence with Kelemvor, those wronged soul may find some level of peace back on the mortal plane.
