| #2meldreadNov 21, 2010 20:32:29 | I don't believe there is - I'm not even sure if Duergar are still around in 4E FR or not. Personally, I'd just have them craft heretical cults of Moradin. If they're still around in your 4E Realms, that would piss off the other Dwarves to no end. ![]() Abbathor could also be a good candidate if he's still around. Some other heretical cults to other Dwarven Deities could also be possible. ===== EDIT: I realize what gave me wishy-washy feelings about whether Duergar are still around or not... I checked the Grand History of the Realms. In 1383 DR - the same year Gorm Gulthyn, Haela Brightaxe, Laduguer and Deep Duerra die - the following happened. Although it is unlikely that ALL Duergar have rejoined the Gold and Shield Dwarves, a sizable chunk may have reintegrated overtime due to the above event. |
| #318DELTANov 21, 2010 20:49:34 | Asmodeus... |
| #4sfdragonNov 21, 2010 22:38:06 | the nentir vale duergar yeppers, big A. FR no realmsian deity. though some likely rejoined Moradin, Im sure like every other race, they have a few hundred worship someone else |
| #5The_SilverswordNov 25, 2010 0:59:33 | I agree with Delta, Asmodeus makes the most sense. And it seems like I remember something Realms related that stated that many of the Duergar have sided with Asmodeus, but I cant remember where i seen that at now? |
| #6sfdragonNov 25, 2010 1:04:19 | the last I saw of that on who they worshiped was in a MM or something. DDI article maybe Silversword. |
| #7The_SilverswordNov 25, 2010 12:03:13 | Yeah, it might of been in a DDI article or something, I'll look around and see if I cant find it. But Asmodeus would defiiely work. But after thinking on it some, 4e Realms has moved away from racial pantheons, so really there probably isnt really a set god for the grey dwarves. Its probably more like this group worships Tempus, this other group might worship Bane, some might even worship Lolth, whos to say? |
| #8mistrorngeNov 26, 2010 8:28:44 | Has their been or is there an online reference similar to the 3.5e "Player's Guide to Faerun?" The tables in there by race were excellent that gave ideas of gods and languages by region/race. Really not seeing the quality of material like that. It gave GMs and players the tools to make a character without requiring them or I to read entire books. Just doesn't seem to be arranged anywhere that I can find. That book could have stopped at page 33 and been worth the price paid. |
| #9sfdragonNov 26, 2010 19:55:06 | no |
| #10The_SilverswordNov 28, 2010 17:43:23 | That would be apretty cool online resource to have, they (WotC) should absolutely do something like that. They need to give us more Realms stuff, it seems like most, if not all, of the latest DDI offerings have been Dark Sun related or Essentials. Give us some good, old-fashioned Realmslore already godsdamnit!!! However, much of the race information from the Players Guide to Faerun and books like the Races of Faerun should still apply. I mean sure its like 100 years later, but the races info and ethnicities should still be good, aside from game mechanics. |
