I have a description of the campaign I am preparing using this map in the Running the Realms forum. I am also working on a town map for my made-up town of Doran's Cove that includes the aspects of the receded Sea of Fallen Stars. My next map after that will probably be Scardale itself, which I am actually quite looking forward to doing. I was thinking of imitating the style of the FRCG map of Luskan (more of a black and white and sepia style), but we'll see how that goes.
By the way, I love making maps and might be able to be talked into making one for someone's campaign. If anyone is interested, lemme know.

On topic, the maps look great.
Not familiar with the 4E Dalelands, so forgive me if the land has changed.
I notice that you've got the Cold Fields as a very small area. It's generally been seen as taking up most of the distance between Harrowdale and Scardale.
And there's never been any forest there, which you've got down as the Chillwood. Is that new, or homebrew?

It's homebrew, but what's funny is that Cold Fields have disappeared off the 4E World Map completely. I actually added that slice in after I had inked the forest chunk (pre watercolor) because I reread the Dalelands chapter and it had it as a location. Still not on any "official" 4E map, though. In fact if you look at the "official" 4E map that comes with the campaign guide (or at the Dalelands chapter), not only are the Cold Fields missing, there is a finger of Cormanthor that extends nearly to the coast south of Harrowdale. My thinking is that the Cold Fields extend quite a bit under the forest there, but the lurking undead still lurk in the wintertime.
Blame WotC and their poorly detailed 4E map for my homebrew changes.

I loved the 3E version. It was appropriately detailed and it's style was awesome. What was even better was that in the 3E guide they put even more detail on the close up maps of certain areas (like the Dalelands). The style I use to make maps is loosely modelled on the style of the 3E campaign map.
All that being said, at least the 4E map is so lacking detail, you can put whatever the hell you want to in a homemade map and it doesn't violate the "official" map. My problem with the 4E map has more to do with the style than anything else.

I don't like the style of the 4E map at all (colouration etc). I don't think anyone likes the 4E map that I've asked. The Eberron map was really good though, I wouldn't mind a redo of the FR map done with similar cartography to that one. Failing that, the old 3E map updated to 4E geography would be equally good.

A city or town with Shar's name in it is awesome in my eyes.
Strangely enough it was not my own creation. There was a town called that on a 3rd Edition Dalelands map and it seemed to fit so perfectly since that area is now under Sembia/Netheril control. I haven't thought much beyond that, but I could easily have some kind of anti-Sharran side quest for my campaign (though that is definitely not the focus). I do not have any reason to believe that it is no longer there as a town.

Beautiful maps. I especially like the town map. They did a good job of mapping out towns and cities in previous editions but now with 4e all thats out the window and we're stuck wondering well what does such and such city look like now 100 years later? I guess that was the plan, clean slate and everything. I guess now you can do pretty much what ever and set up the Realms however you want which i guess does have its plus side. But yeah great maps man i will definatly be using these in my campaign. Thanx
Sharburg is/was the castle of tegal's mark (capital tassel of tasseldale).
Volo's guide to the dalelands mentions:
The Sharburg
The fortified base of the mairshars is an
old watchtower rising out of a much
more recently built walled compound.
The compound sports a council hall for
the grand mairshar) the mairshars' barracks,
and a stable. The Dale armory and
main dungeons are in the tower.
This was once the site of an elven
