| #2xmen510May 11, 2008 7:55:26 | I don't recognize the name, so unfortunately I can't help you with this one. |
| #3rauricMay 11, 2008 9:07:26 | I don't know the name either and am a casual lore guy since 1987. I asked two other people I know that are bigger lore-guys but they did not know either. In the end it might be one of those less used places they deemed worthy of retooling. |

(see TSR11393), one of the later add supplements, detailed the various underwater people there. ps: you could do a killing in pearltrading.. gold to them, pearls in return that you would get 10-20 times their value in gold from airsuckers Rinse and repeat. |
| #5iakhovasMay 11, 2008 10:44:58 | Ummm, you heard wrong Ikki. The sea-level of Serôs has dropped but it still exists.Spellplague: The Wailing Years The former expanse of the Sea of Fallen Stars is altered when wide portions of the landscape collapse into the Underdark. When the sea level reaches its new equilibrium, the average drop in water level measured nearly 50 feet. The waters of the Vilhon Reach were similarly drained, uncovering several drowned ruins from ancient Jhaamdath |
| #6lord_karsusMay 12, 2008 0:05:07 | -Serôs is a large kingdom. A 50 foot drop in the sea level might might make it uncomfortable in some places, but that number is just an average. It'll be greater in some places, and less in others. There's no reason why the entire kingdom should be gone. -And, for those of you who don't know, to quickly sum up, Serôs is an underwater kingdom made of mostly benevolent aquatic races in the Sea of Fallen Stars. |
| #718DELTAMay 12, 2008 23:44:50 | -Well if its a big dry pit, well then we need to get it wet!![]() 18D:D |
| #8jiggawha_dupMay 13, 2008 3:38:52 | 50 ft. is nothing, Myth Nantar is 370 ft. below the surface they better not ruin it |
| #9ikkiMay 13, 2008 5:02:19 | 50 ft. is nothing, Myth Nantar is 370 ft. below the surface I had a look at the map.. the islands would all merge with the shore. There will still be a passage close to turmish from the east to the west. Goodbye kelp forests on those vast open plains.. Byebye koalinths and kuo-toans that loved the shorecaves. Westgate isnt a port, not by a longshot. 100? miles to the shore.. The end of dragonmere is now a lake. Saerloon is screwed.. 50 miles to water. The elven city in the archipelago of altumbel.. the really evil one.. is now above water... Looks like the sharkbanewall, or whatever is left of it.. will form a dry bridge. oh yeah.. and welcome back to the mainland.. emerald enclave. I bet they will hate that. The mermen of eadraal will largely be homeless too. |
| #10lord_karsusMay 13, 2008 12:37:32 | I had a look at the map.. the islands would all merge with the shore. -Some places will be affected, and others won't. Have you ever seen a..."topographical map", for a lack of better words, of anyplace underwater? I recently was looking at a map like that here for the Hudson Bay, and the floor of the bay ranged from 5' deep, to 43' deep, or something to that effect. With the Sea of Fallen Stars, there would be great deviations in depth as well. |
| #11To11May 13, 2008 17:43:22 | The lowering of the Sea will have an impact on Seros as well as many of the port cities, but we haven't seen exactly how the sea will be adjusted. We do know that the Emerald Enclave's islands join the mainland, and that many of the cities on the south shore of the Dragonmere suffer greatly from the sudden loss of their ports. I'm guessing Pros, Teziir and Illipur are going to be hit hard, but it looks like Westgate might be on a river or canal connecting the Sea to the Dragonmere. I'm betting the Pirate Isles become one large island - though it might still be split up by rivers, bays and other inlets. I like this alteration to the geography because it will, I think, draw more attention to Seros. The cities and ruins revealed by the receding waters should be particularly interesting to use in play. This reminds me - have we heard anything about Sea Elves in this edition? I know they are trying to get away from sub-races, but it seems like they (and Avariel) deserve some attention. |

Being as that there are only three "Elven" races now- Elf, "Eladrin" and Drow- it will be most interesting to see what happens. Odds are, Sea Elves will become Elves with some kind of Aquatic Template, Avariel will become Elves with some kind of Winged Template, and Lythari will become "Eladrin" with Lycanthropic qualities. |
| #13xmen510May 14, 2008 7:22:43 | Being as that there are only three "Elven" races now- Elf, "Elf 2.0" and Drow. There fixed it for you. :P :D |
| #14lord_karsusMay 14, 2008 11:24:57 | -Yeah, close enough. I always put the 4e "Eladrin" in quotation marks, anyway...;) |
